A great read. A window into an awful time for the city of Philadelphia.

10 disease laden mosquitos out of 10.

Not as riveting as Devil in the White City or Dead Wake, but a great piece of narrative fiction none the less.

I had heard of Crippen before of course, but I wasn't fully familiar with his story. Unlike many reviewers, I also enjoyed the race and the history behind Marconi and the wireless technology.

A fantastic read!

8.5 bolts of electricity out of 10

Not as strong as the first book, but a solid continuation of a story I am eager to finish with book 3.

7.5 bombs out of 10.

Some of the wisest words I have ever read.

My first reading of what I hope to be many. Not a book to read once and set aside.

One to be carried and pondered...

The middle book of a trilogy is usually the weak link.

Not so here. Book 2 kept the pedal to the floor, in fact managed to push the pedal THROUGH the floor.

Turning to book three RIGHT NOW to see about that crazy Coda...

10 cans of Coke out of 10

A satisfying, if not terribly amazing end to the trilogy.

8 Battlemore's out of 10.

A great end to a great trilogy.

Certainly unique and highly recommended in the glut of Zombie Lit...

10 blood test kits out of 10

Unbelievable.

A bloodydamn amazing series, best I have read in a while.

Waiting two months for the third book is not fair...not fair at all.

11 gorydamn goodmen out of 10.

Yes...this book goes up to 11...

This is an amazing, heart breakingly gorgeous work of art.

I am a huge fan of Wonderstruck and the Marvels excels that book.

This is a work of art that I will recommend to everyone.

11 charred timbers out of 10.
