WOW! WOW! If you want to read a book to stir up some feelings.. THAT is thee one! The horror literally is how Black males are treated. When I say this book gave me so much anxiety!! And only anxiety bc we know the feelings that surround being Black in this country. Ms. Due did a great job transporting us to the Jim Crow era. Will I read this again? Likely not bc it is HEAVY! But if you have the space for it, I highly recommend

I’m 50% in and I feeling like I have a lot of unnecessary information and the plot is going absolutely nowhere. The premise of the story is great but this is the slowest moving book in life. I shouldn’t be this far in and still confused

 What can I honestly say about Bella Jay's pen that we do not already know? When I say this is the delusional enemies to lovers that we deserve!! Bella Jay did not miss!

I enjoyed everything about this book. The storyline kept me engaged and I found myself not wanting to put this read down! My favorite tidbit was the extras she added into the book like the instagram post and IG Live comments.

Now let's talk about why we are really here: Mr. Midnight Drayton. He is the rescue we all deserve after a bad breakup. Tyme said it best. 'You're the type of man who protects those he cares about. You've made me feel nothing but safe, appreciated, beautiful, cared for, worthy, deserving, desired, seen, and so much more. All the things that women want to feel when they're with someone.' and this was after 24 hours.. can you imagine a lifetime?

All in all.. I loved this book so much and can see myself coming back to visit Midnight often 

I discovered things about myself that I didn’t even know I enjoyed. This story was invigorating 😮‍💨 

Idk how Shon does it but she literally never misses and this novel is another example of it. I can't even express into words how much I love Devyn and Derrick and how well they were written. Like the book ended and I wanted to flip right back to the first page and start over again. I'm obsessed

I loved this book! Alex Wise was such an adventure! It truly played out like a kooky kids apocalypse movie. And I enjoyed the entire ride!

A few things I enjoyed:
✨TJ Benton Walker’s level of vulnerability in this story is palpable and raw. A Black boy who is Queer is a very daunting experience. The experience for Queer Black kids is often times dangerous and to see the experience where they are the superhero is inspiring. 
✨ The remixing of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse was everything! I can’t describe it. You literally have to experience it

I am excited for this series! I could see myself coming back to this when I need a little invasion action but on the lighter side.
