This one was not for me. It's not at all what I expected it to be.

Wow! WOW! I'm speechless.. I had it set up in my brain to end a certain way and it DID NOT end that way.. AT ALL! This book was genius! How does Shanora foreshadow that far ahead and make it come together to clean like?! I'm impressed. This was my first read from her and I will definitely be reading more

This book screams Black Girl Magic and I love it! I enjoyed how this book spoke about all the problems we have as African/Black Americans.. including the trouble we go through with the people that we love. 10/10 recommend! especially for those coming of age

I did not read the synopsis so I had no clue what I was getting myself into when I opened the pages of this book. I enjoyed this book bc what you expected was not at all what you got in the end! A great showcase of real life problems African/Black American women go through on an every day basis

I loved this book! It gave me PLL feels with a sprinkle of Gossip Girl and flavor.
