DOES ANYONE HAVE A TISSUE!? Cause ya girl needs one right about now! This is the fourth and final book in the KORT series and it was such a beautiful bittersweet ending! All books must be read in order.
Charring Bones was one of my most anticipated release of 2025 and for good reason! I knew from Burning Ivy (book one) that Gage was going to be my guy and I was sooo right. He is a little bit broken, lotta bit grumpy, but such a sweet, caring, protective guy underneath it all! And Ainsley, oooo talk about having a girl crush! She is something fierce and I love that she gave the Big Guy a serious run for his money.
Their story was just so heartbreakingly beautiful. I am still in awe of Brandy’s writing and her ability to draw you in with a captivating plot and amazing characters.
If you ever take a single recommendation from me, please let it be this series and feel free to dm me here or on instagram if you want to chat about it!
Tropes:
- Dark Romantic Suspense
- Enemies to Lovers
- Second Chance
- Found Family
- Secret Society/Mafia
- Forced Proximity
- Morally Grey MMC and FMC
- Trauma Healing
- Touch Her and Die
Thank you so much to Brandy Hynes and Wordsmith Pub for the eARC!

This is the second book in the Moonlit Ridge series and while it can technically be read as a standalone, I would recommend reading in order.
We got little glimpses of Raven and Otto in From Here To Eternity (book one) and I was so here for their vibes so I was extra excited when this book was announced. I love the off limits/forbidden aspect of the brother’s best friend trope. There is always so much angst and tension involved and let me tell you this book DELIVERED with that angst. I absolutely loved Raven from the beginning. She is such a feisty and strong FMC and I loved watching her tease Otto to the point of no return. Absolutely recommend this one!
Thank you so much to A.L Jackson for the eARC.
