A very beautiful, powerful story. I'm normally not one for novels in verse, but this one caught my eye and I had to try. I'm very glad I did! The sweet family dynamic was heartwarming and I loved learning more about St. Kitts.
Sometimes it got confusing because it felt like things weren't necessary happening in chronological order. But that didn't take away from my enjoyment.
I listened to the audiobook but I am definitely planning on getting a physical copy one day. The writing was amazing and I would love to highlight some beautiful parts.

When I started it, I wasn't sure if I was going to like it. I didn't like Russ at the beginning. But, as Cal warmed up to him, so did I. This story was very sweet and I got so into the story that I listened until 2 in the morning the night I started it. It's funny and lighthearted with some emotions mixed in as well. I especially loved the family dynamic they ended up having with their kids.

Thank you Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to read this eARC.
This is a strange one... The rhyming is very impressive! But the story feels... off? There are some things said by the parents that gave me a bit of an ick. The art, however, is enjoyable.
I'm not sure if I recommend this one. Not for young kids at least.

This series continues to be a surprise. I am enjoying it so much that I keep being sad it is over when I read the last page. The art is absolutely breath taking and I adore the characters and relationships. The world and its history are very well written. Purpah is amazing at combining different emotions into the story. Some moments make you want to cry, others make you laugh or swoon. When I started this series I did not expect to fall in love with Modius, but I have!

Ehh... I don't think I understand the hype. It felt very lacking of plot, world building and character backgrounds. The story is just small snippets with no purpose other than pretty drawings...
