Second book in the series and once again I ate this shit up. I enjoyed it so much. No matter how angsty a scene could get, I kept getting comfort reading this story. I liked Jake and Ava together, and sure, some moments were capital-F Frustrating, but I still loved it.
Very excited to continue this series. I never actually bought ebooks before, usually either read them with a subscription on an ebook/audiobook app or read the free ones on Google and Kindle - it's how I read the first book of this series. But this was totally worth buying and I definitely will be getting the next one!

I don't understand how Lia still had any interest in Kaden after everything he and his group did. I hope she won't have any interest in him in the other books. Team Rafe all the way.

This was adorable! It had me smiling so much as I listened to the audiobook. Also I kinda screamed at the end because I wanted more of them. I'm planning to listen to the other audiobooks in this universe and hope to get a glimpse of them again.

No idea why it is labeled lgbtq+ on storygraph.
There is one gay character that gets killed off quickly. And one of the main character is openly homophobic. The constant swearing in this is a big turn-off for me. I normally don't mind but it got so annoying. None of the characters were likable and I have no clue what the fuck is going on.
At least the art was good, but that's it.
