I think the premise of the book was good. It had some definitely creepy parts but I felt the ending was unsatisfying. I also wasn’t a fan of not knowing character names. I think it really took away from a connection to them. It left me feeling like an observer and not immersed in the story. The flashbacks bothered me a little too but I understand why they were thrown in to fill the plot.

I really like the main character. There was a lot of good supporting characters too. Different take on this mythology which was refreshing. I devoured the book once I got into it! Can’t wait to read the next one when it comes out.

I really enjoyed the Viking and Norse mythology in this book. It is my favorite of the gods. However, I had a hard time with Freya. She just really bugged me. I didn’t care for her at all. Overall it was a page turner but it didn’t make me feel like I needed to keep reading it.

I enjoyed the book but I think it could have been so much more. A lot of details left out while others that didn’t quite fit were put in. The tension and spice felt forced or off to me. Hoping the second is a little better!

I liked this more than I anticipated! I’ve never read anything by this author so I was pleasantly surprised. Had a little paranormal, a little thriller, and a few good twists! I didn’t guess the ending so that was nice!

MAGICAL! Absolutely magical. What a wonderfully written book. Such an interesting and creative plot. Unique, fun, and breathtaking! While it took me a little to get into and I had to take some breaks to really digest the world once I did I was hooked. I fell in love with most of the characters. Was a really enchanting book!

I’m a little confused with this. I didn’t quite see how the prologue fit in with the ending? Like a whole piece was missed.

What a fun book! I really enjoyed the humor. The FMC did kind of bug me as she was very stubborn but I understand why. Griffin is chefs kiss!

“Nothing is free. Nothing is safe.” Gods! This book! I loved it. It has some of the most amazing quotes in here. Ones that I think will stay with me for a while! What a beautifully written book. Such a unique magic system. Cannot wait to read the next one! Definitely one of my favorite reads this year.

I’ve heard so many great things about this book but I feel really let down. Maybe it just was not for me. Some parts just felt really forced to me. I’m not sure if I will be continuing on with this series.
