You’re Reached Sam- hydrate thoroughly before reading this, because you will definitely be sobbing! If you enjoyed the film Your Name then you’ll want to pick this book up. I was immediately drawn in by the gorgeous cover. Julie is a high school student abruptly heartbroken when her boyfriend Sam dies in a tragic accident. Julie wrestles with her grief and sadness, desperately missing Sam and struggling to process her feelings. When she calls Sam’s phone simply to hear his voicemail message, Sam answers. I don’t want to say too much more, I’d rather just place a copy in your hand!
You’ve Reached Sam felt so visceral and real. Sam and Julie extend a hand to everyone who has ever had a loss in their life that they felt they could never move on from. You’ve Reached Sam filled me with nostalgia, joy, and sadness. Thao imparts bittersweet, poignant lessons about grief. The prose conveys the sense of watching a vibrant movie, with sweeping emotion and crescendos. If you’re the type of reader who would like to be curled into a ball by the end of a book, sobbing, screaming “my emotions!!” then you must check this out! You’ll be very glad you did. I absolutely recommend this heartfelt and moving story about grief and love. I’m excited to see what Dustin Thao writes next! Thank you so much to Dustin Thao, Wednesday Books, and Netgalley for a free ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Olivia Dade is one of my favorite romance authors and I was so excited to receive an ARC of All the Feels! All the Feels is a heartfelt and hilarious romance. Alex is a movie star, recently in trouble for getting into a bar fight. With his producers on their last nerve, Lauren is hired to keep Alex out of trouble. Lauren is a burnt-out ER therapist and she figures that this job couldn’t possibly be harder than that. Since Alex is unable to leave Lauren’s sight, lest she lose her job, the two can’t help but get to know each other.
All the Feels is such a warm and charming book; I highly recommend you check it out! If you love fanfic tropes, this book acknowledges and plays with them in an utterly delightful way. Both Lauren and Alex are working through serious issues from their past as they get to know each other. Alex is struggling to consistently manage his ADHD while coping with trauma related to domestic abuse. This seemed very thoughtfully done. I really related to Lauren feeling burnt out in a caregiver profession, yet also wanting to do the most good with her training. All the Feels includes plus size rep, ADHD rep, and discussion of domestic abuse. You do not need to have read Spoiler Alert to read All the Feels, though I enjoyed the cameos from Marcus and the cast of Gods of the Gates.
I loved Alex and Lauren's romance and couldn't put this book down! This story is filled with witty banter and sweet moments that are guaranteed to give you all the feels. Thank you so much to Olivia Dade, Avon, and Netgalley for a free ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This May End Badly is a mischievous and fast-paced contemporary romance. I am so happy I was approved for an ARC on Netgalley, because this book was magnificent. It has several fantastic tropes from fake-dating to prank wars. Doe is a Weston girl, ready to continue playing pranks on the annoying Winfield boys. However, this is the year that a merger between the two schools is announced. Doe and her friends decide they have to do all they can to show the schools that the merger is a bad idea. This may be Doe’s last chance to get back at her Winfield rival, Three. When Three’s cousin Wells agrees to work with her to annoy Three, the fake-dating games begin. Only Wells isn’t anything like Doe thought he would be and she may be forced to examine her deeply-held beliefs about what it means to be a Weston girl.
I loved the relationship between Doe and Wells! Wells is a great book boyfriend (I mean, he primarily hangs out in a bookstore!). Samantha Markum writes lovable and vivid characters. Doe has a single-minded focus, drive, and anger fueling her schemes. Doe has a close-knit and warm group of friends, which I always love to see. The relationships between the Weston girls and Winfield boys grow more nuanced as the story continues, with all of the characters growing. Doe also has strong relationships with her parents, which I feel is rare in boarding school stories. This May End Badly deals with a serious issue of students being sexually harassed by an authority figure. Doe and her friends work together to bring attention and action to this issue and refuse to let the incident be swept aside. I thought this was handled realistically and with care.
I loved the fake-dating, the pranks, and the romance of This May End Badly and would highly recommend you pick up a copy. Looking forward to reading whatever Samantha Markum writes next!
