Dear Edward tells the story of a young boy who is the sole survivor of a plane crash. Edward quickly becomes an object of fascination for the world, relatives of the passengers, and people who feel compelled to write him letters. These letters contain stories about their loved ones, ask if he saw them on the flight, or contain requests.

This is one of those books that I know I’ll come back to, that will stay with me. The plane crash in the book was based on two actual plane crashes. It impressed me how well-researched the plane crash was. When things go wrong, I think humans have a fascination and need to understand why. In this book, what we learn is that understanding why is not always enough and that healing must come from a different place.

Although glimpses of the passengers on the plane are relatively brief, what I love about the writing style is how packed with emotion and knowledge those moments are. I felt like I learned something, however small, from each one. The writing is beautiful and filled with sharp edges, love, and what it means to be human. This enthralling book will remind you of how we take life and the people we love for granted. One of my favorite and most meaningful reads so far this year, Dear Edward left me filled with love.

Office romance? Slowburn, enemies to lovers, they work at a publishing house AND witty banter? This delightful book quite literally made me laugh out loud at a time when I really needed it. One of my new favorites!

While I was initially under a very different impression about what this book was about due to the synopsis, I still enjoyed the journey. My favorite thing about this book was the complex world-building and magic systems. It’s clear that a lot of work went into building this world and it shows in a very positive way.
Spoiler Teriana and Marcus technically fall into a slowburn, enemies to lovers romance, though I had a hard time seeing the romance aspect of it. I could totally see a friendship eventually growing, but not romance. In any case, they are certainly left with a lot of obstacles to overcome- romantic and otherwise.
I look forward to seeing how the adventure continues in Dark Skies!

It took me a while to get into this one, but once it clicked I loved it. Samson is my favorite!! So incredibly sweet. I also liked the honest and important discussion about football and CTE, online dating shenanigans, and the supporting characters such as Katrina.
SpoilerI think the reason it took me some time to get into this book is because initially their behavior towards each other hinges on “the misunderstanding” and this is not one of my favorite tropes because you just want them to sit down and talk to each other.

Thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read an excerpt of Igniting Darkness! This excerpt picks up right where the last book left off. Genevieve has been reunited with the convent and now must face the consequences of the choices she’s made. Beast and Sybella’s sisters are on the run while Sybella stalls for time. Robin’s writing remains crisp, descriptive and compelling. Love these characters and I'm so excited to see more of them. I can’t wait to read this book!
