A fantastic mix of horror, romance, and fantasy! This one was a slow burn, but so well written. The characters were easy to connect with and understand, I loved Opal's sense of humor! I really loved this one!!

I'm so glad Britney is finally able to tell her story! This is written in her Instagram format...the story goes all over the place and the stories don't necessarily connect. She touches on topics and doesn't go into a lot of detail, but she doesn't owe us that! It wasn't particularly well written, but an absolutely insane story that I can't believe is real. Props to her for living her best life now!!

I've been thinking about this book since I finished it a few days ago!! This had so many twists and turns and I didn't expect any of them!! It was such an intense read that hooked me immediately. So intense, definitely not for the faint of heart!

Another suspenseful dual perspective book! I enjoyed following the characters and trying to figure out what happened along with them. The ending moved really quickly and was a bit sudden and confusing, so it wasn't a great ending to an overall great book.

3.5 rounded up. I had to really motivate myself to read this, I got stuck about halfway through. The ending was much better than the first 75% of the book. It was interesting reading the story from the victims perspective, but I don't like that there's no clarity on what's real and what's fiction. I really liked that this book gave voice to victims and brought to light how weird it was that we all looked at The Defendant with more trust than the victims. Overall a good and important read.

3.5 rounded up. This book was LONG. The first and second parts could have been divided into two books and then the first one thrown out. There was nothing that happened until the last 20% of the book. Between mythical creatures, different kingdoms, and magical powers there was too much to keep track of. I was also confused by the ending. This book definitely kept me hooked and interested, but there was SO MUCH I missed too.

Such a wonderful collection of letters! It's so fun to follow along the journey. This book definitely emphasizes how important it is to just take that trip or experience, life passes by too quickly to keep saying "one day".

This was an absolutely wild book!! I could not have predicted where this story was going to go, which made it that much better. There were parts that were super gory, but they made sense. A fantastic horror book!

This book made me so mad and angry and at points I literally screamed at the main character!! And I think any book that gives you that big of a reaction is a great book! The main character was so frustrating, and the story was so meaningful without shoving morality and righteousness into your face. A great read!!
