My favorite part of this book is that the author wastes absolutely no time getting into the thriller moments!! Because the main character doesn't need a ton of backstory, you're able to skip right into the spooky scary bits. I loved her interactions (or lack of) with the other people involved.
SPOILER for dog/animal lovers: the dog is okay and not truly harmed!!

This one was bad. I'm so sick of the "trolley problem", it just seems like lazy writing to me. But even worse, the whole premise was forgotten about halfway through the book. The characters weren't fully formed, there were things they brought up that were never touched on again, and it was really hard to connect with them. The ending was very anticlimactic.
I really enjoyed this book, it was funny and entertaining! I always love a normal main character, and this one was pretty easy to relate to, being an anxious millennial who is a bit selfish. Very much gave me Pineapple Street vibes, but without the money! There isn't much of a plot, it's more just about the character.
The characters were confusing and so frustrating in their naivety. And since they were all so similar, there were parts where I was really confused about what was happening and to who. There wasn't much that surprised me, I definitely saw the ending coming. This book is SUPER dark and depressing with tons of TWs.
Such a sweet story, and very clever plot! I really enjoyed the main characters, and especially liked the push for romance authors and readers to be seen as legit instead of the bad rap they get. I was hoping for a bit more conflict, but it was a very sweet ending, definitely a HEA!
The most predictable book I've read in a long time, and I'm annoyed I finished it. There were so many plot holes, the characters seemed half finished, and so many things just happened without explanation.
I loved the twists and turns in this thriller!! I enjoyed the unique perspective of telling the story from end to beginning. The only downside is there's a lot of British slang that sometimes makes it hard to understand.
I loved Too Good To Be True, and knew I had to read Bye, Baby after reading the description! I would say this is more psychological fiction than a thriller, but I was hooked through the entire thing! I love books with multiple POVs, it helps lend credibility to both stories. Anyone who has ever felt cut off from a friendship or has seen a friend change will relate to this book! I always enjoy books that center around influencers or celebrities.
What a very strange book! It definitely gave me Wes Anderson vibes. This was a very slow, bland book, and sometimes difficult to follow. It's a short book so easy to get through and pretty basic.
Very similar to Pineapple Street, but with a touch of thriller. This book was super surface level, which I would have been fine with if it was just a character study. But adding the "thriller" elements meant there was no real plot to get hooked on, and nothing was very exciting. I got bored about 60% of the way through.
