This book unfortunately just did not work for me. I wasn't that interested in the characters, the pacing just felt off to me, and overall I just didn't enjoy it.
It is a fast paced read, which did help, but it just ended up being OK for me.

This book is so emotionally inpactful. We follow three best friends as they separate and have very different experiences as world war two breaks out.
Each storyline is compelling, well written and does an incredible job of showing different aspects of the war.
It was most definitely a page turner and well worth a read.
