Super cute romance with great chemistry, pacing, and humor. This was my first book by Emily Henry, and I'm excited to read more by her! January and Gus are a riot, and the discussions about life, love, and happiness in this book are spot on.

This was great! Ghost Squad features a rock-solid friendship between two young girls, themes of found family and ancestry, and positive messages about women of color and their power and how that power can sometimes be misinterpreted and twisted to be feared. My absolute favorite part about this book was Lucely and Syd's friendship; no matter what, they had each other's backs and made sure the other was safe. I highly recommend this!

WOW. I was not expecting to love this as much as I did. The romance, the subtle but still strong and well-done Beauty and the Beast retelling, the intriguing characters! I will definitely be continuing on with this series, and I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes next.
