Wow wow wow. This is a solid continuation of the Harry Potter story and definitely serves as a major turning point in the overarching story. I'm excited to continue on!

Solid companion book to the Percy Jackson series. I thoroughly enjoyed the three short stories in here, as well as the interviews with the campers and the crossword and word jumble puzzles.

This is a solid middle grade that deals with complicated and multi-racial families, racism and the deep South, and one little boy's adventure with his grandma on the path to find out more about his past. I would definitely recommend!

*4.5* I really enjoyed this piece of work from Amanda Seales. It is unapologetic in its humor and realness, and her voice as a comedian and black woman who has lived through some thangs definitely shines through. I continue to be a fan!

This is an incredible collection of poetry, and I am amazed at how talented and hauntingly Jericho Brown writes. He was able to encapsulate so much grief, anger, happiness, and emotion in such short lines. The writing is captivating and beautiful, and I appreciate his more long-form poems. I will definitely be reading more by Jericho Brown in the future!
