This was just an okay read for me.
I enjoyed the character development and world building in this novel, but it took a little bit of time for me to get invested into the plot. I loved the portrayal of Princess Guinevere and her head strong take care of herself attitude. I also really enjoyed her relationship with Arthur and how it felt real and not rushed into love.
The plot really picked up a little after half way and couldn't put it down. It was a great build up for the second book, just would have liked a little more action in the first part as well. I did enjoy the White's writing style and am interested in picking up the second book.
