HOLY SHIT! That was a slow burn, creepy story! Way to go, Sally! I almost wanted to leave a 1 star review just so she would read my comment on her Instagram stories, but I just can't. 5 star read for sure! Fern was a great MC, and Rocco/Wally was so sweet! Loved this one!
Thank you to NetGalley and Grand Central Publishing for a copy of this ARC in exchange for an honest review!!
Wowowowowow!!!
This. Book. Is. Everything.
If you've ever seen and/or enjoyed a single episode of The Great British Bake Off, you will adore this book. I loved how you get to see a behind the camera type look into basically a show we've all seen. The bits about having to repeat themselves and making sure they say thank you. All very interesting.
Rosaline Palmer could just be my favorite MC of all time. Bisexual, single mom, witty, charming, and she doesn't put up with bigots, racists, or homophobic assholes! She has funny things to say, she's relatable AF, and also says "um" in nearly every sentence she says. Like I said, ummm.. RELATABLE!
The secondary characters were also fabulous. Rosaline's daughter was a really cool 8 year old I'd love to be friends with, her sassy ex gf who is really caring, supportive, and hilarious. And Anvita, who honestly made the baking weekends sections of this book more enjoyable. She is excellent AND sexy!!
Lastly, I loved Harry. He was sort of a gentle giant throughout the story and I really enjoyed him, every single time he spoke. I was rooting for him the whole time (even though this book is a baking competition mostly, not a love story per say). He was open and vulnerable. The book mentioned anxiety which is a huge thing happening to basically every millennial right now.
Basically, I feel like I lived through this book. I feel like the characters are my friends. I feel like I want to eat some sweets now

I think I am in the minority here in saying this book was exhausting. The trope of enemies to lovers is so EXTREME I just felt tired of it within the first few minutes. I finished the book and it had a sweet ending but overall I straight up did not have a good time reading this. This is one hype train I will not be getting on. #sorrynotsorry
The art was fantastic, the cover totally drew me in. However this book is fairly sad for 80% of it and it truly made me sad too. I've heard great things about the second book so I'm definitely going to check it out. Just be warned this isn't a happy go lucky story about cute ghosts!!

This book took my breath away. I loved every moment of it!! Casey McQuiston can do NO WRONG in my book!
Basically, McQuiston is my newest "auto-buy" author. If that fabulous human being writes a book, you can bet your buttons I'll be first in line to get a copy. Saying that, I went into this book totally blind. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it sure as hell wasn't a hottie stuck on the Q train for 50 years

What a wonderful book. Morrie had a beautiful soul. I really enjoyed the 20th Anniversary audiobook edition, with the recording at the end with Mitch and Morrie chatting. It was so special.
*swoon* so cute! I loveeeeeed this cute lite graphic novel! And I will definitely be rereading in October!
Oh wow this was unlike anything I had ever read before! Maia's complete transparency with very personal thoughts and feelings was so refreshing. It helped me understand what e was going through! I felt like I was learning about non-binary identities right along side em. It was my first time learning the pronouns E/Em/Eir and I am so glad those were mentioned in the book, so I could type my review properly.
The art was also absolutely fantastic!
