What a story!!! I really enjoyed learning about Colombian folk tales and myths that they lived their lives by. I was rooting for this sweet family the whole time.
I had a lite bit of trouble with the jumping timeline with stories in the past, between Talia and Elena. But that could have been an audiobook thing, or a me thing. Overall I thought this was a really great book!

Okay okay wow wow wow.
This book is wild. Annie Wilkes is one of those characters that I found incredibly enjoyable and incredibly terrifying all at once. I didn't care much for Paul but since he is the MC, I did find myself rooting for him. Overall this is an awesome story, and a must read King novel. I am taking off one star because I found Paul's crazy spiraling thoughts a bit long and had trouble with skipping over sections when Paul really got going.
Ps "cockadoodie" is officially integrated into my vocabulary

This book is hard to review. Overall I didn't really enjoy it. But maybe that's what the author intended? I know the narrator said she's lovable or loathsome and I totally get that. This story was odd and I'm not even sure if it was a story I needed to read, but I'll be honest.... The cover did sway my decision.
This book was just okay.

This book was beautifully written. There are some very triggering fatphobic things in this book, but they are written as a character experiences the things most fat kids go through as a child. My heart goes out to Ellie and I was rooting for her the entire time. I am so glad she had a support system, when she couldn't go to the person who should love her the most-her mom.
The ending had me in tears, as well as the author's note.
My favorite quote from the book: "I realize I have been 'starfishing'; starting to claim my right to take up space in this place."

What a fun book! Finlay was a great leading lady, she was so entertaining. The side characters were comedic relief and the plot was awesome.
My only complaint is a general issue I see happening with books.... I don't quite get why she had two kids. She basically spends zero time with them and she's always offloading them onto someone else. Idk, just a little thing that I keep seeing with books that bugs me.

Hmmm.... This book was fine. As a 29 year old woman I had trouble connecting with a teenage boy. I didn't hate this, but I didn't love it either.

This was a good sequel. I loooooved the first book so I was hoping this one lived up to the hype in my head. The mystery was well rounded but I didn't love the ending.
Thanks to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for an ARC copy of Death In Bloom-A Flower House Mystery in exchange for an honest review!
Cute cute cute!!!! I am a huge fan of cozy mysteries! The Flower House was the perfect setting. I loved the flower themes, I loved the flower/plant puns from Calvin, and I loved Granny Mae's superstitions and remedies!
The mystery was great. I truly had no idea 'who dunnit' up until it was revealed. Everyone was suspicious, everyone seemed to have a motive and they were all being sneaky. I really loved having so many suspects and trying to work it out in my head. Sierra was an awesome leading lady, Gus was a sweet comedic relief (who doesn't love Corgis?!), and Deena was an awesome supportive friend!
I am really looking forward to The Flower House Mysteries to be a series! I want book 2 now!!

Very cute cozy mystery! I love when the cozy mystery is set in a book store or about books and this was almost perfect! It was a bit long, and I wish Addison had more of a background with the town she moved to!
I'm excited to continue on with this series.
