Progeny will transport you to a completely different world! I really enjoyed this book. There is a lot to keep up with, there are all sorts of fantastical creatures and a new language to grapple with, and a whole world filled with very different cities and countries. I loved how different it was, and I loved the idea of the strands and weaving them to create magic.

Because there are so many characters that play a part in Progeny, there are multiple story lines going on at once. I really liked it when the various story lines and characters "met up" and converged into one another. I loved seeing how everyone fit into the main plot line. They were all written and planned out so well. That is one of the best parts of the story (other than learning about the strands); seeing how everything fits into each other.

Another thing that I really enjoyed was that even though these lands are so different than our own world, there were still familiar elements that shone through. For example, in the middle of the book two of the characters were talking about different kinds of government systems-(monarchy and royalty vs. democracy) I liked seeing that even in these foreign lands, they were still dealing with the fundamental differences our countries are dealing with.

The characters Progeny were as different as the lands they came from. I loved them all! Broedi was so wise and strong. I think he is the perfect protector/teacher figure for Kenders and Nikalys. I loved Kenders, her powers are so cool! And I can't wait to see what is going to happen between Nikalys Jak and Sabine. I am a sucker for a good love triangle.

Overall, I think that anyone that enjoys fantasy and/or books involving magic would love Progeny. It is really long, so you will have to set aside some time to read it all, but that just means there is more story to love.

The Girl of Fire and Thorns continually surprised me. When I first started reading the book, I did not know what to expect. Then Elisa had an arranged, and I thought the story would be about how her and her Husband got to know each other. The story turned out to be much less about them as a couple and much more about Elisa.

I liked this so much more! I wanted so badly to like Elisa's husband (the King) but I just didn't. He was weak and he really bugged me. I really disliked how his attitude towards Elisa abruptly changed at the end of the book. Without giving too much away, Elisa went through a number of "changes" throughout the book. All different kind of changes really, but I especially disliked the King's reaction to the new Elisa.

I loved Elisa the whole time! I thought she was a great heroine. very strong, even when she didn't think she was, and smart. I love smart girls.

There were so many things in this book that I did not see coming. The Girl of Fire and Thorns certainly knows how to keep you on your toes and hold your attention! I loved it!

There were so many men in Elisa's life. I liked all of them except the king. Now, I have no idea if I am alone in this thought or not- but I would really like to see more of Hector in the next book!! ;) A lot more actually. hehe

This book was so unique and action packed, and most importantly beautifully written. I enjoyed watching the story unfold in such a fluid way. The words just leap off the page and surround you.

There is a lot of religion in the book, so if that bugs you this book might not be for you. But I really urge readers to pick it up and give it a chance. I think you will love it just as much as I did. (I don't normally read books where religion is a prominent theme, for reference.)

The Girl of Fire and Thorns is a great read!

Wow! Bridger was so great. I started writing a review right after I finished the book and all I was doing was gushing over and over again. So I decided to wait a little bit, so my review was not just variations of "I love this book!" and "OMG Bridger was so great!". But now i'm back after a few hours and i'm still gushing. So why fight it? Let's gush people!

Bridger is going on my favorite's of 2011 shelf for sure! It is so exciting and the story is really well developed. A lot happens, and it is so fast paced, but at the same time you get such great background detail about everything. I loved the way the book was written. It throws a lot at you, and it can seem confusing at first but Megan does a great job of explaining everything. I thought Bridger was really unique.

Ash is such an interesting character. She can do some pretty cool things, and I have a feeling that we have only really touched the surface on her abilities. I can't wait to see what else she can do. The only thing I didn't like about the book was that I loved both Liam and Reese. What is a girl to do when presented with two equally awesome options? I normally like to root for one guy over the other, but both guys here are just so swoon worthy, it's tough to pick. I guess I will have to wait until the next book to make my decision.

My favorite part was how action packed and fast paced the book was. It drew me in completely. Multiple times while I was laying down reading, something would happen and I would bolt upright in bed. I just had to know what was going to happen next! I even got up with my kindle and was pacing around the room reading at one point! It literally kept me on my toes! Now is that doesn't scream "this is an awesome book!" I don't know what does.

I hate that I have to wait for the second book to come out. I want to read it right now! This book was awesome, great, wonderful and all things an amazing book should be. I thoroughly loved reading every minute of Bridger. Thank you so much Megan Curd!! :)

OMG Bridger was so great!! (I just had to get one last gush in there)

It is so funny that Michelle Madow says that this book is based off Taylor Swift's song and music video for "Love Story" because what I love about Taylor Swift's music is that it always makes me smile- and that is exactly what Remembrance made me do. Smile. A lot. It was just such a cute story. One that I think any reader will fall in love with.

The characters were all love or hate for me. I hated Jeremy right off the bat. He grew on me a smidge toward the middle of the book, but he was just so self-involved. I think I disliked him because he could not hold a candle to Drew. So I might have been a little biased, but even when Drew was acting distant and cold, I still liked him more than Jeremy.

I really liked Lizzie and I love how much detail went into each of her memories or flashbacks. They were one of my favorite things about the book. I also loved how they knew so many random facts about each other. It was so cute. Because I loved Drew and Lizzie so much, I got so frustrated when they would not get together. I wanted to scream at my kindle for them to just kiss already. Or, really to just do anything! Don't worry though, you will not be disappointed.

The story flows so well and it is beautifully written. I had to stop reading it a few times because I did not want it to be over. I watched Taylor Swift's music video during my reading breaks actually. But then, I had to jump right back into the book because I had to know how it would all turn out. I couldn't wait!

Remembrance is such a charming and lovely story that I know it will have you smiling the whole way through. I could not get rid of the silly grin after I finished the book. It put me in such a great mood. I loved it!

I have not read many books about faeries before this weekend. Then, in the past two days I read two and I absolutely loved both of them! I think I need to check out some more faerie books ASAP. Although, I must say, it will be very hard for another faerie book to live up to The Faerie Ring. I was so engrossed in this book that time ceased to exist for me while I was reading it. I didn't even realize how much time had went by. I didn't take a single break. That is how much I enjoyed this book.

Maybe it was because I didn't know much about the fey before picking up this book, but I loved the descriptions about the two faerie courts. It made me want to read more faerie lore and legend. They seem like such interesting creatures.

Tiki was so cool! I loved her. I loved that she wanted to teach everyone to read and how caring she was. It's so easy to see characters that have had a hard life come off as cold, but that was not Tiki at all! And if I said that I loved Tiki, then I need to come up with an even stronger word for Rieker. He was so loyal and kind and awesome, and just plain cool. It is safe to say I am a big fan of him. I'm actually a huge fan of all the characters. Even the secondary characters had such great detail and development to them, it was a pleasure to read about them.

I thought the idea of a ring holding such an important truce was so unique. I would love to see what such a magical item looks like up close. I kept trying to picture it in my head, and I kept changing what I thought it would look like. I'm also super curious to learn more about Tiki's birthmark. I can't wait to see how that is going to develop in future books.

I loved The Faerie Ring so much! It was one of my favorite 2011 releases, and I can't wait to see what is going to happen next. It is going to be such an awesome series. It has favorite potential written all over it. Go read this book right now! Seriously, go.
