Battlefield Love is the first book in the new adult operation cupid series by Skyler Andra & Mila Young. The operation cupid series is a mythology and fantasy romance, that has a really cool premise. You all know I am a sucker for anything mythology, and I love Mila Young's Gods and Monster's series so much, so I was extra excited to see what they would do with another mythology series. The coolest part of Battlefield Love is the world setup and the treatment of the gods of greek and roman mythology. I did have a small issue with one aspect of the story, but I love the setup and Battlefield Love has all of the makings and potential to be an awesome series. I can't wait for the next book. In Battlefield Love we meet our main character, Locke is just a normal woman, until Eros (the Roman version of Cupid) pulls her into the world of Gods and their human Avatars. The concept of Avatars is one that I have not seen explored in mythology fiction before, and I have to say I really enjoy it. All of the Gods live up on Mount Olympus and in this book, they don't really travel to earth. But they still need some connection to earth to be able to have their powers and influence over the land. This is where the Avatars come in. Avatars are a gods manifestation in a human. The human takes on some of the abilities, characteristics and traits of their God counter part. It is a very interesting concept, and I can't wait to see it explored further in the next book, and for us to meet even more Avatars. In Battlefield Love we know that Locke is Eros' avatar, and we also meet Mads and Rane- the avatars of Hermes and Ares respectively. Rane was my favorite character in the whole book, hands down. I just love him! But he is also one part of the aspect of the story I had a slight issue with. I understand that as Eros' avatar Locke is going to have some of his "love" characteristics, which in turn might make some guys act a little gooey around her, but I felt like there was a bit too much insta- something going on in Battlefield Love. I don't know if it was love or lust, but it felt a bit rushed. It wasn't a biog deal, because I still really enjoyed the story and I really, really love Rane. So I certainly want to see more of him in the next book, but I hope we get some more answers about Locke that might make things make more sense in the romance department. I know there was a lot going on very quickly in this story on purpose. I mean, all of the characters were on the run, so I do understand some of the haste, but I am kind of hoping things will slow down a bit in the next book so we can get to know the characters and learn a little more about each of the avatars. Overall, if you are a fan of fantasies featuring Roman gods like I am, and you like a fast paced book with plenty of action and romance, you will want to check out Battlefield Love. I am already itching to get my hands on the second book. I breezed through the first book much too quickly for my liking. I can't wait to see what is going to happen next. This was a very fun read!

But to make things a bit confusing, the Laws of Physics series is the second trilogy series in the Hypothesis series. Each of the trilogy follows a new set of characters, but at least one of the main characters is tied to science. And I love a nerdy romance. Especially if Penny Reid is the author. I think you all know by now that she is one of my very favorite authors of all time. I loved the first book, Motion soo much ( you can check out my review HERE)Space picks up a few years after the events from Motion left off, with Mona running off on Abram, and replacing herself with her twin sister Lisa. (if any of this sounds confusing to you, then you need to go back and read motion because this is a series that does need to be read in order.) I loved Motion so much, but I was a little bit nervous of how we were going to treat the whole Mona pretending to be Lisa thing in regards to Abram. Did he know what happened? My concern stemmed from the fact that I couldn't imagine that he wouldn't have pieced it together somewhere in the last 2 years. And my concern was all for nothing, because of course Penny Reid gave Abram the credit he deserved and didn't have him bumbling around like an idiot. Of course he knew soon after that Mona was who he really spent a week with. Space turned out to take a totally different path than I was expecting. It was still fantastic, it just followed a different story arch. I loved watching Abram and Mona interact as themselves. That was such a huge treat for me. At the beginning of the book Abram was too bitter for my tastes, but I can certainly understand why, but I wanted him to get over it already because I love Abram and Mona. Love them so much! Luckily my wishes were answered and we still had plenty of the book to watch them interact in their own adorable way. I think I liked Motion a bit more than I enjoyed Space, but Space was a wonderful follow up. I can't wait to see how the conclusion will play out in Time, which comes out later this month. Penny Reid just writes amazing romances. Romances that make you laugh, make you smile and make you swoon. I just love this story. It does end on a cliffhanger, and it certainly did it’s job. It made me want to grab the last book right away. If you are new to Penny Reid, start with Motion. You will love this book. Penny, you are my idol. (See I am buttering you up because I need book 2 right now. I have to know what is going to happen next! Once he sees both twins in the same room, he has to know who is who. He has to!!) Amazing Romance, but of course I expect nothing less!

Overall rating 4/5 stars
Each of the books had between 3.5- 5 star ratings, with books 2, 3, 4 all being 5 star reads. book one was 4.5 stars, and book 5 and 6 were 3.5-4.
Parts of this series I completely loved loved loved and other parts dragged or I thought were over done. Overall it is one of the better RH series I have read and I would love to read more from this author!
P.S. Austin was my fav :)

The Boyfriend Bid was a really cute romance story from Engalanged Teen's Crush line. I am always happy to pick up a new book by their crush imprint because I always know what I can trust to get out of the story. I always know it is going to be a super cute romance, with great characters and a healthy dose of heart, mostly done in a high school setting. And The Boyfriend Bid delivered on all of those elements. There was one aspect of the story that bothered me but it didn't detract from my overall enjoyment of the story.
In the Boyfriend Bid we meet our two main characters, Sarah and Chance. Chance is the school's new guy and Sarah starts off pretty closed off to him. At first Sarah was a bit off-putting to me because she was so, soo guarded, but watching Chance knock down her walls one brick at a time was super rewarding. Sarah certainly won me over, and Chance had a fan in me from the start. Sarah was burned by a soccer player in the past, so she wants nothing to do with Chance. Her friends put in a winning bid on him at a charity auction for school and their forced dating is off. I loved the idea of charity auction. I even liked the idea of how the dates got upped from one to six, but the whole student news story aspect of following them around and recording their dates really irritated me. It was a complete invasion of their privacy and I was really surprised that not only the both of them went along with it, but that the school overall was ok with it. I wouldn't have been ok with it and I never would have agreed to it. The school basically had a charity auction, took Sarah's friends $300 dollars and then totally changed the rules of the game after the fact. But that was honestly my only gripe with the story.
I loved the romance. I loved watching Sarah and Chance connect and slowly get to know one another. Nothing about their actual relationship felt forced (other than the fake news story dating nonsense.) or rushed. And I have to say this, both Sarah and Chance were great young adult characters. I really adored them, separately and together. If you are looking for a fake relationship turned real type of story that has a different take on the concept, then I would check out The Boyfriend Bid. I think it will hit the spot for a sweet young adult high school romance.

Super cute novella. Did a great job introducing the town of Little Bridge Island, which in my opinion was the whole point of this book. The series is going to follow different town residents. And knowing Meg Cabot they will all have their own witty and completely heartwarming stories.
I know the first full length book is going to be about Bree, but I really hope that we see another book from Roberta, who goes by Rob and Ryan. They are the people we get to catch a glimpse of in Bridal Boot Camp, and darnnit! I want more!!
