This is a good, quick read. I really enjoyed seeing Rachel’s character develop and come to the realisation of what her life had become.

What a brilliant read! This is a gender reverse retelling of sleeping beauty, it has adventure, romance and wit. The story starts off with two treasure hunters, each who has a hiddened past and who don't like each other very much, pair up to do a job. The story is told from both perspectives and learn more about each characters backstories before they learn more about each other. I loved that world building was written into the unfolding story and not a big chunk a the beginning that we had to get through to get to the story. I have really been getting into fantasy lately and this was just brilliant, first fantasy 5 star of the year and cant wait for the next instalment!

Yes, yes, YES!!!! This book is brilliant, I could not put it down! This is the story of twin sisters who are worlds apart, one is a quiet, well mannered nanny and the other is a party girl who loves to dance. The past is firmly locked away for them until Margo runs out of her medication and the cracks start growing quicker than Cora can patch them up. The suspense and pacing was perfect, this is not a book I will forget. I loved trying to pick up on all the subtle clues the author was giving us through out the book and I managed to work one of the main threads but in no way did that take away from my reading pleasure, in fact it added to it as I was dying to know if I was right! If you haven't already then go and get a copy of this book, its nail-bitingly good!

I gave up 483 pages of my life for that ending! I’m not ok with that! I loved the characters and I was invested in the storyline, I thought both sides were written really well and I liked the idea of time flipping between then and how but I’m just too mad at the ambiguity of the ending to give any more coherent thoughts

I had very high hopes for this one but it just ended up in the ok pile. I enjoyed the story line and the character development but I just didn’t feel much for the main character, there was no real emotion there and as such I wasn’t invested in her outcome. I think the end of chapter 27 would have been the perfect place to end this one to leave me wanting more and to have had part 3 as a separate book as I although I liked the ending I wasn’t as invested in the book anymore and just wanted to be over. I love big books so it’s not the length it’s that each part felt like a distinctly different part and didn’t really flow.
