This is always an interesting one for me, but I really enjoyed it on a re-read. It's an interesting one because it really amps up the danger the Baudelaires are in and just how much they really are on their own.
I really like that in this part of the story we finally hear about the SB and Lemony becomes more involved in the story and VFD becomes more prominent.
This book was a journey but I loved it. It was selected for my monthly bookclub and I thought it was a great read. It really delves into religion and what it means and how toxic it can be, especially to Queer Youth but I loved how it was handled. The idea was actually really interesting and the author didn't try and get too technical.
A really great read for Pride Month.

A love that the story is becoming more fleshed out and it's like Olaf is done playing games and just goes right for it
I love how the characters show growth in this by learning so much about themselves and the line between Good and bad acts and how easily that line can be blurred.
We get new characters, lose some old ones and a horrible one returns.

I really like how dire this book becomes and that one of the children's lives are as close to danger as they have truly been. We run into an older character and some interesting ones. I'm really glad that they finally told someone off. it's been long overdue.
This was such a bittersweet novel. Seeing so many faces from past novels and then so much hope, only for it to be snatched away again. This part of the series is just...WRONG!
This book is such a bittersweet ending, but honestly, I think it wraps up the story wonderfully. After following the Baudelaires for so long, it really makes me sad that this story is over. If you make it this far into the journey, it really is such a great series.
This was better than I expected to be. I really liked all the characters and the way the story played out. Only thing I could have done without is the love triangle..or square.
I don't know if I'll continue reading this series, but it was a good start.

This far exceeded my expectations. I was quickly hooked into the story and it did not dissapoint in anyway. I wishthis kind of YA horror had been around when I was a teenager, but anyone who likes horror, will like this.
