This book took the thriller aspect up a notch and actually toned down the spicy parts which (while I do love them) was a nice change of pace. The ending did surprise me but I did get close to figuring out who was responsible.
Overall, this was a fun trilogy and I very much enjoyed these story about the book club boys.

This book started off a little slow, but once it got started, it took off running. It reads like a classic slasher film with extra gore and detail. You feel bad for some characters you probably shouldn't but their actions make sense. I don't want to say which characters. However, there is a last-minute plot twist that sealed the deal for me to give it 5 stars.
I honestly thought this was a cute little novella. It's hallmark gone awry. The characters were all very fun and the tropes were great. It was just adorable once I sat down and thought about it. I loved Dewey because he was just the perfect little trope looking for love and doing anything...and I mean anything to protect it. I loved how everyone supported him.
I do wish it had been a bit longer and more fleshed out only because I would've loved to have seen more of the crazy. I don't typically read novellas, so I think I'm just not used to a shorter format.
My only other thought is I feel like this shouldn't been titled as Romance-Horror because romance plays a big part and it would've been nice going into it.

Ever heard the song "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" Well this is what happens when someone catches that and wants a taste for themselves.
This was an interesting one. I've only read The Clown Hunt by Judith Sonnet, and this was an exciting story. I'm not sure what I expected, but it is a bizarre and fun read. I really enjoy the stories where Santa is real.
This gave very Violent Night vibes.

I overall enjoyed the story but got lost in all the football references. I did enjoy both main guys were stubborn and their conflicts made sense.
Overall a good romance.

I really like the characters but my problem was nothing really happens in this story. We just follow the main characters and one tragedy but not much else in terms of conflict.
If you prefer a more slower paced romance, then this is for you, it just didn't work for me.

This read like a classic thriller slasher film and I loved it. Really creeped me out.
This was a very classic Christmas romance. Very little conflict and all around just fluffy, warm holiday feelings.
I enjoyed the contrast between the main characters and I liked that there was another side problem happening for each character other than their feelings for one another.

I honestly don't even know how to rate this.
It is vile and disgusting but that is what extreme horror/splatterpunk is meant to do. This is not meant for the faint of heart. I can only give it a good rating because it did what it set out to do.

This book was like being on acid, but what a great trip!
I knew very little of this book but it takes some interesting turns. On the surface, it could appear just violent and vile, but if you read between the lines, it is very much about a man's descent into madness. You're questioning at the end what was real and what wasn't.
The main character deals with so much depression and anxiety that it chains him down. He was given a very awful hand at the beginning of life, and it just never got better. Happiness is always out of his reach, and there is only one way he can begin to even feel that he has some control over his life.
Seriously, great read!
