Double down - to strengthen one's commitment to a particular strategy or course of action, typically one that is potentially risky

Double Down begins right where Even Money left us. Bell in her suite, Dario mourning over the loss of Gwen and practically forcing Bell out of the suite and Vegas.

Bell ends up back in Dario's home state of Louisiana and we are introduced to Laurent. I absolutely was intrigued by him, I want to know more of his story (because I'm sure he has a great one). As much as a dislike Robert Hawk, I did enjoy reading things from his point of view and from Claudia's. It was nice to get into their mindset at times.

This book started out fast paced and towards the end did kind of slow down a little, but it was nice to see some happiness and signs of a drama and stress free relationship between Bell and Dario. Of course, that was rather short lived. Watching Bell and Dario's relationship continue to grow was sweet. They are both so broken, but despite that overcome a lot and love each other unconditionally.

"Just love me through the cracks."

I loved that we got some more of Meredith, Rick and Lance. I loved the interactions between Rick, Lance and Dario and I wish there was more of that.

I was hooked and couldn't put the book down, however, I felt that there were still some unanswered questions at the end. Maybe, that means the story of Bell, Dario, their friends and their enemies will continue in the future.

Just like Vegas, this story of full of excitement. Murder, kidnapping, explosions and steamy sex scenes. It will have you on the edge of your seat, it may make you shed a tear and it will make you smile.

Giving Up the Boss begins just like the title suggests. Executive assistant Lori Carlow quits her job because she has crush on her boss, Jackson Sinclair, who won't even look her way. Starting over and forgetting all about Jackson is all Lori wants to do, until she hits Jackson with her car.

I felt for Lori. She knew Jackson couldn't remember what happened and what would happen when his memory came back and he realized he didn't give her the time of day. Could her heart really survive that?

I absolutely loved Lori. She is strong, she is smart and she is sassy. Jackson on the other hand, he took some getting used to. Sure, when he didn't have his memories he was sweet, caring and nothing like everything described pre-accident Jackson.

Overall, I did enjoy this book. It was fun, it was sexy and the two main characters had amazing chemistry. I loved reading how Lori and Jackson's characters grew over the course of the story. I couldn't put this story down!

This was a fantastic, short addition to the The Boardroom series.

Bailey wants a session in the The Boardroom, the catch no safeword and anything goes. She signs in contract with Jacob and trusts that he will make sure everything goes well.

After weeks of planning for Jacob, it is finally Bailey's day. He is extremely protective of her and never wants to let her go, even after the scene is completed. But the question is will Bailey stay or run away from him?

I loved both Bailey and Jacob. I loved getting some more insight into Jacob after reading about him in previous books. The only thing I wished for was a longer story.

Overall, this was a fantastic, sexy, quick read into our favorite boardroom.

Kate is out celebrating her birthday and looking for her mister tonight, not her mister forever. She spots Hunter from across the bar. They go back to Hunter's place for a one night stand, only Hunter's adorable daughter has other plans. Kate is horrified and runs out, hoping to to never run into her Mister Tonight again, but fate has other plans. Hunter is Kate's new landlord.

I absolutely love anything Kendall Ryan writes and this one did not disappoint. It was sweet, it was funny, and it was sexy. It is a perfect summer or anytime read. The story is told in both Kate and Hunter's point of views, which I absolutely love. They are both such lovable characters and it is so easy to connect with them both.

I have to say that Hunter's daughter stole the story for me. She was funny, she was smart and she was sassy. Her interactions with both her father and Kate were great.

Once again, a great, sexy and hilarious standalone romance by Kendall Ryan.

Confessed is a perfect book. It is dirty, it is romantic and it is intense. What more could you ask for?

I loved Lucy from the little pieces we got of her in Professed so it was great to be able to learn more about it. She has not had an easy time in life given the recent events of her fathers business, so she runs away and runs right into Vince Russo. Vince is running away as well, only he is trying to hide from the Russians.

The chemistry between Lucy and Vince was so hot. I don't think I have read a hotter book than the story of Lucy and Vince. I instantly think of this story any time I hear Johnny Cash and Phil Colins. There is so much fun little details in this story. It is not all sexy, but all the little details in the story are what really get me.

This is yet another fantastic story by Nicola Rendell and I would highly recommend it to anyone!

A hot, drama filled friends to lovers romance story.

Olivia has been hurt by past lovers, including another Chase brother Matt, but the youngest Chase seems to have his eyes on Olivia. Marc Chase is a playboy, everyone in Petal knows that, but can he prove to Olivia that he is done with his playboy ways and is ready to settle down once and for all?

This is the first book I have read from Lauren Dane and the Chase brothers. It took me some time to get into the story, but once I was half way through I was able to fall in love with the story and with the characters.

I did find Olivia somewhat annoying at times. I understand that she has been hurt and that Marc is 6 years younger than her, but it was just annoying every time she brought it up. You do learn that she has some much deeper issues, but why not bring those up sooner?

I loved Marc. I loved how close he is with his family and gets them all in on his plan to woo Olivia.

Overall, this was a good story. I am curious about the other Chase brothers so I will definitely be checking them out.

I've absolutely loved all the Hunter brothers, but Tristan and his love for animals may take the cake for me.

While at the wedding reception for his brother Rafe, Tristan and his right hand woman at the animal shelter, Zoey, pretend to be a couple when they run into their exes. But we all know these things never work out as planned.

Zoey has worked with Tristan for 3 years and the entire time has had a massive crush on the man. Getting to kiss Tristan was a dream come true for her and one she never wanted to end.

I thought this story was funny, sweet, sexy and everything you could possibly want. I love the crazy happens at the animal shelter with Luke, Tristan's dog.

This is book 3 of the Hunter brothers and you can definitely read this without reading the others, but why would you? All three are amazing stories.

A perfect, sweet and funny summer read.
