A Mountain X-Mas by Harlow Layne

This was such a fun and sweet holiday getaway romance with Bodhi and Coco. I loved getting more of these two and seeing them have some fun and get away for the holidays.

These two have a ton of chemistry and I loved getting a little bit of spice mixed into this story.

I really wanted to love Miriam and Jordan’s story. But this story just wasn’t for me.

Miriam and Jordan are friends. Miriam doesn’t date athletes and really she just doesn’t like them. Yet, her best friend is one. She helps his teammates break up with whoever they are with. They have a one night stand and really neither of them can stop thinking about it.

I just couldn’t get into the story, these characters. I spent most of the time just kind of frustrated with how they were acting and wish they would just go for it instead of just taking their time.

This book just wasn’t for me.

The timeline is super confusing. Mia and Barrett were just acquaintances in high school, then they didn’t see each other for a long period of time, they run into each other, then there are talks about getting engaged but I’m not sure when that actually happened cause the engagement party they were talking about ended up just being a wedding. It just didn’t all feel connected and that there were pieces of the story missing. I also didn’t really feel any chemistry or connection between the two of them. Like something was just missing the entire time.

This story just felt unfinished and just pieced together so there was no flow and that made it difficult to follow and really get into.

Trey is the newest member of A Rebels Havoc and the one member who didn’t grow up with the rest of the band. Though, he isn’t new to be in a band and touring. Trey really is that stereotypical rockstar…women, booze, and repeat. Until Layken….

The moment Trey and Layken see each other there is a connection and so much chemistry between the two of them. After one night, neither of them can get enough and for Trey this is not normal. I loved the two of them together. I love that Layken brought out a side to Trey that was hidden deep down within the man.

I loved seeing these two fall for each other, even though there were a lot of ups and downs. You can’t help but cheer for these two to find their happily ever after together. Plus, seeing more of Brix and Tysin…I can’t wait for Madden’s story!

If you’re looking for a rockstar, surprise pregnancy romance this is one to check out.

Evan and Lilah are both members of Just One Yesterday. The two of them are always pushing each others buttons, but you know there is that fine line between love and hate.

The chemistry between these two is off the charts. They are heating up the pages and there is plenty of spice mixed into this one. I absolutely loved the back and forth banter they had going on. I was eating these two up like a Little Debbie’s Christmas Tree.

I’m intrigued by the rest of the band members, so I’m looking forward to more from this author!

I don’t know how to form my love for this story into words. Rosalia and Elijah’s journey is one that spans the country and years. The two of them seemed like they will fail from the start and there are so many ups and downs when it comes to the two of them.

They meet when Rosalia is 17 and Elijah is 31. There is a strong connection between them. Their souls are drawn to each other. However, they were never anything more than friends until they became enemies. However, time can truly make a difference, but is it too late for these two?

There is chemistry between them from the start. You can feel the connection between them. These two are explosive, they are broken, yet they are so beautiful together. Their journey is long, it is rough, it is full of ups and downs, pain, sadness, lust, happiness, joy, love.

I loved every single second of this book and this is one that will stick with me for a while and easily one of my favorite books of the year.

If you’re looking for an angsty, age gap, rockstar, enemies to lovers romance this is one to check out.

Pen was supposed to just be checking out a new possible band to sign, but she didn’t expect to be blown away by Crimson Heat or the instant attraction she felt towards to bands lead singer, Walker. Walker may be young, but he is mature and knows what he wants in his life.

I love the instant connection between Pen and Walker. Even though they tried to fight it for so long the deep connection they share can’t be ignored. There is a forbidden aspect to their relationship since she is the band manager and on tour with the band. While they have undeniable and explosive chemistry things aren’t always for the two of them, but I couldn’t get enough of their relationship.

I love Pen and her group of friends, it was so fun getting more of this amazing group that you’ve gotten to know throughout this series. I also loved the rest of Crimson Heat and I hope that there is more of them in the future!

If you’re looking for a reverse age gap, forbidden, forced proximity, rockstar romance this is one to check out.

Rachel and Tommy’s story has spanned years, is complicated, heartbreaking, and completely worth the wait in the end.

Rachel and Tommy have known each other for years and they have had a lot of ups and downs together. However, things don’t always work out the way you hope and your lives take a different path. Tommy is the only single one in the band, he doesn’t do relationships, he lives his life recklessly and wild. There were glimpses of it in the previous CK books, however, you never knew why and knowing everything that has happened it makes sense.

Rachel and Tommy have a ton of chemistry and there is no denying that. They understand each other in a way no one else does. Even after years of no contact there is still something between them. Even though Rachel took the safe route with her life and did what she thought was best, all the old feels realized that she made a mistake by playing it safe.

This does have cheating in it and is somewhat of a love triangle.

If you’re looking for a slow burn, second chance, rockstar romance this is one to check out.

In the case of Harper and Landon what happens in Vegas definitely didn’t stay there after they find themselves married to each other.

Landon and Harper seem like they are different on the outside, but inside the two of them are similar. Plus, neither can turn down a dare which leads to some trouble. Not to mention Landon and Harper do have chemistry, plus add in Landon’s niece, Aria, and there is a great bond.

There are plenty of laughs, enjoyable banter, and some heart mixed into this story. Plus, it is always great to get more of the previous couples and the kids.

This book is a longer one. It may just be me, but I felt at times it was too long and I would find myself losing some interest while reading, but still the overall story was enjoyable.

If you’re looking for a marriage of convenience, nanny/single dad, rockstar, rom com check this one out.
