I was not prepared for Door of Bruises. This book was so much more than I expected and from the moment I started I was completely sucked back into Thornchapel and all its mysteries.
Door of Bruises took me on an emotional journey. It backs up where things have left in Harvest of Sighs and the group is broken up. It is hard to review this book without giving away so many details. If you haven’t read any of the series I HIGHLY RECOMMEND reading it and if you have read it then this book will slowly wrap everything up. It is full of suspense, mystery, rituals and all the steaminess that was in previous books.
The writing of this story is truly beautiful and magical. There is so much to love about this story and I know that it is one that I will reread from start to finish to experience it all over again.
If you’re looking to be transported to a world of mystery, ancient rituals and plenty of heat the Thornchapel series is a MUST READ.

If you’re looking for a romantic suspense story that brings the swoon factor and some laughs Loverboy is definitely one to check out.
Gunnar and Posy met years ago and there was an attraction, but they just shared one kiss. Now years later, they are back in the same city and the chemistry between them is still sizzling.
I loved Gunnar and Posy’s relationship and seeing them interact again after all the years apart. They balance each other out. Posy is sweet and funny and just adorable. Gunnar has a rough and tough side, but there is also a softer side to him that Posy brings out. Their second chance was so much fun to read.
The suspense side of the story was fun. I was completely hooked to that aspect of the story and couldn’t wait to find out more information and find out where the story would go.
Loverboy is a great addition the series and I can’t wait for more!

Lennox is a sports agent, she’s a woman who is good at what she does, however, given the male dominated industry they don’t treat her equally, they assume she uses her good looks to get what she wants, not because she is good at what she does and puts her clients first. Rush is a professional footballer, but he is also surrounded by scandal within his own team back in the UK. Escaping to the US he and Lennox are forced to work together and the chemistry between them slowly simmering below the surface.
I love Lennox. Yes, she runs from things in her life, she is restless at times, but she is amazing at what she does. She has a hard exterior just to deal with her job. The men in the industry that she has to work with are very anti-women in the industry, but she isn’t afraid to stand up to them and speak out about it. I love Rush, too. He seems like the bad boy who is a magnet for trouble and scandals, but as the story continued there is so much more to his character.
The chemistry between Lennox and Rush is fantastic and is just coming off the pages. There is tension, great banter and plenty of heat all throughout the story. But they are both also super supportive of each other and bring out a different side of each other that no one else would for them.
Hard to Hold is a must read sports romance that brings the heat and the emotions.

Finding Mistletoe is the perfect combination of Holiday cheer, romance, heat and suspense. The story sucked me in from the very beginning and I couldn’t put it down.
Lucas is a professional basketball player with a stalker and he just needs to get away. So why not go to small town USA that is also a Christmas town. Mistletoe is a small town girl who loves her little Christmas village. The moment Lucas arrives into town it is really love at first sight and the instant chemistry between them is hot enough to melt all the snow in town.
I loved the relationship between Lucas and Mistletoe and there are plenty of sweet moments between them throughout the story. They live opposite lives, however, they are just perfect for each other. He sees so much more of Mistletoe and helps bring out some more confidence in her. He is supportive and full of encouragement.
There is a suspense element throughout the story when it comes to the stalker, which was complete shock to me when everything was revealed.
If you’re looking for a holiday insta love romance that is heat and some suspense Finding Mistletoe is a MUST READ!

I’ve been waiting for Penelope and Wolfie’s story since there were little glimpses of something brewing between them in The Boyfriend Effect. Their story was everything I could have hoped for and so much more. I completely love these two characters.
Penelope is working hard trying to earn herself a promotion and she has a company getaway coming up. So why not bring her brothers roommate along with her and have him pretend to be her boyfriend to help her out? Nothing can go wrong with that, right? Wolfie is kind of secretive. He keeps to himself and isn’t what you expect for someone who owns a business like he does.
I love the chemistry between Penelope and Wolfie. Penelope knows there is something more to Wolfie and wants to know his secrets, but she doesn’t push him too much to get answers. I truly just wanted to hug Wolfie. My heart broke for the man at times, but he has Penelope to support him and to help him through everything he is struggling with.
My Brothers Roommate is a MUST READ, especially if you love a brothers best friend/roommate romance.

The Best of Us hooked me from the very beginning. Nothing like a major blizzard to bring two people who can’t stand to be around each other together.
Ryan and Kendall grew up around each other. Ryan is Kendall’s best friends brother. Ryan is a hardworking ER doctor who gets roped into helping Kendall decorating his families cabin for his baby sisters honeymoon. What neither of them expect is the massive blizzard that strands them at the cabin.
I couldn’t get enough of the banter, the tension and the chemistry between Ryan and Kendall. From the very beginning they are at each other, but you could feel the underlying tension and both of them trying to deny their chemistry. Kendall wormed her way into Ryan’s life whether he wanted her there or not. There were plenty of steamy moments, but also plenty of moments that will make you swoon and laugh.
The Best of Us is a MUST READ romance that has all the makings of a Hallmark movie.

The Bookworm’s Guide to Faking It is such a fun read.
I absolutely love Holley. She is a fun, quirky, loveable, and adorable bookworm who just so happens to own a bookstore with her two best friends. Sebastian is a professional baseball player, but is back in his hometown to recover from an injury. Him and Holley have a history. They were best friends and both had secret crushes on each other, until one little mistake on prom night changed everything.
There is some great chemistry between Holley and Sebastian. I loved the banter between them, too. Holley is still hurt about what happened years ago, however, she isn’t about to admit it to Sebastian. She really wants nothing to do with him, however, she ends up being his date to his sister’s wedding and the fake relationship comes into play.
I loved that their story wasn’t the typical fake relationship romance. There were some fun little differences throughout the story that kept it interesting. Though, I was completely rooting for Holley and Seb the entire time.
The Bookworm’s Guide to Faking It is full of chemistry, second chances, romance, plenty of laughs, a great group of friends, the best retirement crew, some ducks with punny names and plenty of fun. If you’re looking for a feel good romance that will have you laughing this one is a MUST READ!

Wandering in Love is a fast paced, second chance novella that brings some heat.
Ian is the town sheriff. He likes his rules. Eva is a free spirit and the only girl that Ian has ever loved. She left a decade ago, but now she is suddenly back in town. Despite the years of separation there is still so much chemistry between them.
When Ian and Eva first see each other again there is a pretty intense meeting and from there it starts a back and forth between them and even a little fun and games involving Ian’s brother. Eva doesn’t feel like she is good enough for reasons that aren’t explained until later in the story and Ian always wondered why she ran.
The road to HEA isn’t an easy one for Ian and Eva but it is a truly beautiful story and I loved every single moment of this book.

I absolutely adored Connor and Olivia’s story. If you’ve read Jenna’s previous release, Unpredictable, these are two characters that you’ve already met and already fell in love with so it was amazing to see how their story started. If you’re new to Jenna it is a great introduction to her amazing writing and these two characters.
I loved the modern day pen pal vibe, which lead to some pretty funny e-mail interactions between Connor and Olivia. Despite only interacting via e-mails, then eventually with phone calls there was a connection between these two characters. They just flowed really well and there was a nice easy going vibe between them.
Olivia has a backbone, she is smart, creative, and of course, a bookworm. Connor is a former Navy SEAL, he is an alpha male and he is 100% broody. I loved both of these characters. I loved getting to know them, their friendship and eventually their relationship.
If you love a broody hero, a strong heroine and an adorable romance with some great banter and heat Unwritten is a MUST READ!

Xavier Neal is a new to me author but when I saw romantic comedy and hockey I was completely sold on this story and it lived up to everything I could have hoped for.
I completely loved both Hugo and Crash. I loved their friendship and as things started to shift into something more I fell in love with their relationship.
Hugo is a defenseman, he protects those in his life, both on and off the rink and Crash is included in that list. Though, protecting Crash also meant protecting him from his own emotions and feelings. These two men are opposites yet they balance each other out perfectly.
If you love hockey romances, romcoms and friends to lovers romance Defenseman No. 9 is one to check out!
