This is my first read by Lesley Jones and I thoroughly enjoyed this story. I am not one for reading blurbs, so I went into this one blindly and was intrigued from the very first chapter. I had no idea what was going to happen or where this story was going to go but I was hooked and wanted to know more.

Max is a fantastic father and his love for his sweet baby girl Layla is adorable. His “wife” and baby mama on the other hand is not so great. I am far from being on Team Whitney. Despite everything going on in Max’s life he has a fantastic support system when it comes to his family, friends and bandmates.

Billie has experienced so much trauma for her young age. From the tragic loss of her parents, to the horrors she experienced at the hands of her former employer. She has a new job and Max is her boss. They’ve known each other forever, Billie’s older brother is Max’s best friend and bandmate. She’s also had a crush on the man since she was a child.

Max and Billie had a ton of chemistry. This book was heavy on the tension and the steam when it came to those two. Billie was super sweet when it came to Layla, she loved that girl as if she was her own from the very beginning. I loved that despite everything Billie had experienced she was a fighter and she didn’t let the past ruin her future.

This story is full of forbidden things. If you’re looking for angst, drama, steamy, a sweet baby girl, great family dynamics, a nanny and a Rockstar and an age gap (she’s 22 and he is 38) this is definitely one for you.

Arrogant Playboy is my first read by Alex Wolf and Sloane Howell….and after reading this one I am definitely dying to read more from this writing duo, especially the Collins brothers.

Donovan is a criminal law lawyer. He is arrogant, dominant, hot, and powerful. He has worked hard to get where he is and prove to his old brothers that he is more than just the baby of the family. Paisley is a successful lawyer and she is doing everything she can to help her father and her grandparents out, even if that means moving back to Chicago and working for a law firm that took her father down and also happens to be the one her ex, Donovan works at.

The chemistry between Donovan and Paisley is EXPLOSIVE. These two were on FIRE. The dislike between them led to tons of tension, which led to some steamy scenes. They were together for three years during law school, so there is a lot of history between them and it is history that you don’t just forget about it. Things quickly progressed between them and seemed to only grow hotter as the story and their relationship progressed.

There was a little bit of drama, some great family moments and whole lot of heat. If you love powerful, dominant, dirty talking lawyers and second chance romances then this is definitely one you’ll want to check out,

Since the introduction of Jordan Becker, I have been dying for his story, dying to know more about him. He’s adopted, the oldest of the Becker brothers and the most reserve. This story does not disappoint. From the very first page I was completely hooked and the deeper the story got I was on the edge of my seat. The love Jordan has for his mom and his brothers is amazing, he would do anything for them. The love he has for the football team is inspiring. The way he was with Sydney and Paige was perfect, he was protective of them and supportive of both their dreams. Sydney, I loved her! She is trying to make a name for herself after not working for years and for diving head first as a trainer in a male dominated sport. She’s an inspiration, not only to readers, but to her daughter. She is proof that it doesn’t matter the job or if it’s a so called male dominated industry you can do it.

The unexpected scene stealer of this book? Sydney’s daughter, Paige. Seriously, this nine-year-old girl will steal your heart and have you laughing. She isn’t afraid to play with the boys. She loves football and isn’t afraid to speak her mind, especially to Jordan. I loved that she would provide him coaching tips. She is strong willed, determined and just wants to play football.

The chemistry between Jordan and Sydney was instant. They were drawn to each other. The more time they spent together the more their connection grew. Jordan is supportive and protective. Sydney was a little hesitant when it came to their relationship being fresh from a divorce, among many other things. But when she finally gives in things are explosive between the two of them.

If you’ve been following this story since the beginning you know there is a mystery that has been a common theme among all the books and things come to and end, the answers are revealed and it was not what I expected. There was a portion of this book where my jaw was literally hanging up as the dirty laundry was being aired.

Old Fashioned and the rest of the books in the Becker Brothers series are MUST READ. Yes, they can be read as standalones and in any order, but I would HIGHLY recommend reading them in order to get the full story. Not only is Old Fashioned a MUST READ, but it is also one of my TOP BOOKS of 2020.

I have been waiting for this book from the moment I finished book one, Wicked Dance, around a year ago and let me tell you this was 1000% worth the wait. The conclusion to Sara and Tom’s story wasn’t an easy one. It was emotional, heartbreaking and truly beautiful.

Sara and Tom both have been burned by past relationships; they are both dealing with things of their pasts, things that can hurt their future and do pose a major risk. I love the chemistry between the two of them. Tom is super alpha and Sara loves it. Seriously, there are some kindle melting scenes between the two of them throughout this story. They love each other, they are supportive of each other, however, there are definitely moments where the past gets the better of both of them. A few of those parts had me yelling at my kindle. I was rooting for these two from the very beginning. They deserve happiness, they deserve each other, even more so after some of the events in this story.
I loved the secondary characters in the first book, mostly Jake (Tom’s friend and business partner) and Jen (Sara’s friend and roommate) and in book two they both played some major roles into the story and roles that I was not expecting. There were both great additions to the story, even if they did frustrate me at times.

Wicked Embrace is a contemporary romance, however, there is some suspense sprinkled in which I loved. It kept me on the edge of my seat and wanting more. Olivia Boothe has a talent for captivating you with her words and completely sucking you into the story. This book and the entire series were beautifully written.

If you’re looking for an emotional, beautifully written, suspenseful, steamy, contemporary romance with two broken characters who find each other then you’ll definitely want to check out the Chronicles of a Dancing Heart duet! A MUST READ from me!

I love Christina Lauren and I’ve read all their books, however, with The Honey-Don’t List I couldn’t connect with the characters, but the story itself I did enjoy and it had the typical Christina Lauren humor. Carey and James are personal assistants to two TV renovation stars whose marriage is imploding, however, while trying to keep their bosses sane they find love and support in each other.

I wanted to love Carey, I really did, however, she frustrated me so much. I constantly found myself yelling at my kindle for her to stand up for herself and get the attention she deserves. Towards the end I did like her more, but it took so long to get to that point. James, I did enjoy. He was hard working and supportive and just wanted to recover from the loss of his previous job.

Melissa and Rusty (the bosses) almost seemed like the main focus of this story at times instead of Carey and James, which took a lot away from the story. It was a slow burn, there was some romance, but this story felt more women’s fiction. Not saying I did enjoy the story, it just took me longer to read than most books because I couldn’t connect.

Parental Discretion is a forbidden romance that is HOT, SIZZLING, SCORCHING, SULTRY, BLAZING from the very start. Nolan and Andi have chemistry from the start and that is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to those two.

Nolan has been in Andi’s life form the day she was born, he is her fathers best friend. However, Andi is not the little girl he remembers, she is all grown up and knows what she wants and she wants Nolan. Nolan is attracted to Andi but knows he shouldn’t, her father is his best friend and she is close with her father. However, with chemistry like theirs they can only avoid each other so long. I LOVED Nolan and Andi from the start. Andi is a sassy woman who knows what she wants and she will go after it. Nolan is protective of Andi and he always has been, but now its something more.

I couldn’t get enough of them and their story, I didn’t want it to end and wish there was more. I wanted to see what was going to happen with their future. I’m sitting here crossing my fingers in hopes there may be more. Another MUST READ from AJ and Rebecca!

Gilded Lily is the second book in the Bennet Brothers series and the moment I started this I immediately remembered why I love this family. It can be read as a complete standalone, however, I would HIGHLY suggest that you read Coming Up Roses because it is an amazing story.

Kash Bennet is the oldest sibling and the one in charge of running the greenhouse. Lila Parker is a wedding planner and Ivy’s (she works at the Florist shop) older sister. Lila is fresh off a break up and looking for a rebound. Kash is the best distraction possible. However, things change between them, rules are broken. Will they confess their true feelings?

I absolutely LOVED the first book, but this one completely blew it out of the greenhouse for me. I loved Kash’s laid back attitude and Lila’s hardworking personality. They were complete opposites of each other but so incredibly perfect for one another. Their chemistry is there from the start, despite the fact they have the enemies vibe.

Gilded Lily will have you laughing (I was dying over all the gardening puns!), smiling and just feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. This is a MUST READ and one of my favorites for 2019!

J. Saman is a new to me author and I am HOOKED. Love to Hate Her completely sucked me in. The overall plot of this book was what piqued my interest. Single father, Rockstar, someone from his past. I needed to know more.

What I didn’t expect was the emotional rollercoaster that I was about to start when I jumped into this book. Jasper and Viola have a history going back to their childhood. They were each other’s first kiss. Viola was the light to Jasper’s dark. His muse. The girl he could never have, because she was dating his twin brother.

Flash forward seven years and Jasper and his band are about to embark on a world tour after 4 years. Jasper has become a father and is need of a nanny who can help his baby girl. It just so happens that Viola is the best one for the job. I loved the tension between Jas and Vi, yet they are completely drawn to each other. Viola’s relationship and ever-growing bond with Adalyn is beautiful. I love Adalyn, she is so sweet and adorable. There is a hot and cold situation going between Jasper and Viola. They both know they shouldn’t be together, but they can’t avoid the connection.

Love to Hate Her is full of great banter, chemistry, and angst! It does end on a cliffhanger and I can’t wait to see what is next for these two and their relationship.

Love to Hate Her is a MUST READ and one of my TOP READS of 2020.

This the first book I’ve read from A.J. Wolf and I know it won’t be my last. My Heart completely sucked me in. This book revolves around Beverly and Remy, who are already married. However, Remy does something that completely shatters Bev’s heart. Will she be able to forgive him for what he has done?

My Heart is a mafia romance. You’ll get sucked into this world completely. I absolutely loved Bev and Remy as a couple. They had so much chemistry and despite Remy being the Capofamiglia the man had a sweet side a mile long when it came to his wife. I loved that Bev wasn’t just some weak little mafia wife. She is a fighter, she can hold her own and that was proven several times throughout this story. She isn’t afraid of the mafia life.

The secondary characters in this story are also fantastic and there were plenty of glimpses into them and their lives for future books. This story packed in the suspense, the heat and a few laughs. I can’t wait to see more of all these characters!

A MUST READ mafia romance!

When it comes to Pippa Grant books I know I can count on a great story full of laughs and Liar, Liar, Hearts on Fire is no exception to this.

Tripp Wilson is a single father (swoon) who loves baseball (double swoon) and wants to purchase a baseball team that he grew up watching as a child. There is just one thing in his way, Lila Valentine. A gorgeous woman with secrets. I loved Tripp and Lila’s chemistry. The banter these two had was great from the very first moment they met.

Tripp is caring, loving, protective and will do anything he can to make sure his two children have everything they deserve. Lila is hardworking and determined to be the best at anything she is involved in. She hasn’t had an easy life and works hard for everything she has.

This book is a slow burn, enemies to lovers, rom com that will capture your attention from the very first page and capture it until the very end. Another MUST READ from Pippa Grant that will leave you laughing until you’re crying!
