I don’t even know where to begin with this review. If you’ve read book 1, My Heart, then you know that there were hints of something going on between Donatello and Delaney. If you haven’t then you’ll still be fine with reading this one. I have been dying for their story and this did not disappoint. Donatello and Delaney’s story is a beautiful, emotional and a soul stealing forbidden romance that I DEVOURED.

I LOVED LOVED LOVED Remy and Delaney’s relationship. He’s her big brother, her father figure and she values his opinions, even if she may disagree with them at times. Despite not liking her choices, he will always be there for her. He is her rock. Her family. The one person who will always be there for her. In turn, Delaney also has a great relationship with Beverly, too. I loved every single moment those two were together.

Another high note for My Life is the back and forth between past and present. We got glimpses of Donatello and Delaney’s relationship from the start, but also got to see their relationship in the present. There is no denying these two have chemistry, however, I wanted to punch Donatello throughout a good chunk of the story. He was such an idiot and I want to hate him, but I can’t. The man was killing it was the bad jokes ( I have a thing for terrible jokes).

Delaney, this woman. I loved her. I felt her pain, I wanted to jump into my kindle and hug her and give her some ice cream, candy and wine. I felt such a strong connection to her on a personal level. Her feeling of being unwanted and her heartbreak is something I think every woman has
experienced at some point in her life. She is so relatable as a character and so mature for her age.

There is a secondary character in this story who I LOVED and I want to know more about him. He is fantastic and definitely has a story to tell. You’ll know who I’m talking about once you read this, because you can’t miss this character. He is a great friend to Delaney, he was there for her when she needed someone, and honestly you can’t help but love him.

My Life is a forbidden romance MUST READ! I can’t wait to see what’s next from A.J.

I love Lauren Blakely’s books, but One Night Stand-In is hands down one of the best books I’ve read from her recently. I loved the lightness, the characters, the banter and the overall story.

Lola and Lucas were friends in college, on the verge of starting something more, when a giant misunderstanding happened and forever changed their relationship….for 10 years. Unfortunately for them, their younger siblings are dating and in love and need their help. Can 24 hours change everything?

Lola and Lucas have so much chemistry and I was living for it. They started off their journey as enemies with some hilarious banter, then moved to friends with hilarious banter, and finally they realized they were each other’s missing pieces.

I LOVED the scavenger hunt idea, so much. It was so much fun and lead to so many hilarious moments between them. They were able to learn so much more about their siblings, but also about themselves and their relationship.

One Night Stand-In is a MUST READ for anyone looking for a light hearted laugh out loud rom com.

I have been dying for Ava’s book and it is seriously my favorite of the three. Who doesn’t love a best friends little sister romance that is full of laughs and an adorable hedgehog?

Ava needs a roommate and Ethan needs a place to stay, only problem is these two can’t stop fighting with each other and they are both harboring secret crushes on each other. The biggest problem? Ava is the little sister of Ethan’s best friend, Leo.

I loved the banter between those two. I was dying of laughter from the very beginning, especially when it came to the war. There are things that would have drove me crazy, too! The chemistry between Ava and Ethan was also fantastic. Once they finally gave into their desires it was explosive.
I loved that there was also plenty of the other couples from the previous books, when they were all together it was pure comedy and I wish I was a part of the group to just laugh and join in on the fun.

Emma Hart delivers another laugh out loud rom com with Kiss Me Again. This is a MUST READ!

Dear Ava was emotionally gripping. From the moment I started the prologue I was completely sucked into the story and I couldn’t put it down. This story is dark and angsty from the very start.

I LOVE Ava. She is a survivor, a fighter and the love she has for her little brother is amazing. After everything she went through, she has come back stronger and ready to fight. Ava 2.0 is pretty badass. Knox may be the head Shark, but there is so much more to him than that. He is protective and the love he has for his twin brother, Dane, is beautiful. The twin connection is so strong and real in those two.

Knox and Ava are both broken, in different ways, but they find so much comfort in each other. They become another support system for each other throughout the story. They way Knox is with Ava is magical. He is truly perfect. They are perfect for each other.

This story does deal with some tough subjects and isn’t for everyone, but the way it is done is what makes this story truly beautiful. Dear Ava is an emotional ride that will forever stick with you.
A MUST READ and another top read of 2020.

Drama, steam and a hot cop. Sign me up! I DEVOURED this book. The moment I started reading the story I got sucked into the story and had to know what was going to happen next. Everything about this is completely addicting.

Claire was injured in an accident and found comfort in her rescuer, Gage. There was instant chemistry between the two of them. I loved that Gage felt the instant need to protect her no matter what. Gage is a little hesitant when it comes to Claire though, because the things he knows from his job and his twin brother.

I loved this story, I loved Claire and Gage. I couldn’t get enough of it and I can’t wait for more of the Walker Brother’s. Walk the Line is a great introduction to Tate’s (Gage’s twin) story and I can’t wait to see where this mystery leads us.

A MUST READ and a great introduction to a new series and to Harlow’s fantastic writing.

I can’t even begin to describe how much I loved this story and how much I needed this story in my life. The Deception is the third and final book in the Filthy American’s Trilogy and let’s just say this series went out with a bang.

I have loved Marist from the start. She has grown so much throughout this series and is now not afraid to battle against Macalister and all his games. She was playing with the best of them and willing to do whatever she could to win this game. Once she officially became a Hale, it was all over. She was the strongest she had ever been. I loved how much Royce cared for Marist, I loved that he was supportive of her and let her flourish.

I was on the edge of my seat reading this book. I was completely sucked into the Hales’ world and wanted to know more, I wanted to know what was going to happen next, and who would come out on top. I loved every single moment of this story. There were so many twists and turns that you don’t see coming, but all the unanswered questions are answered by the end.

My only complaint is that I wish it was a dual POV because there are so many times, I would have loved to see Royce’s POV on the situation, but regardless it was still absolutely fantastic.

If you’re looking for a steamy, twisted, suspenseful series this is one to check out! A MUST READ!

Thandiwe Mpofu is a new to me author, but after reading this blurb (which I rarely do) I was intrigued and I wanted to know more, I wanted to discover these characters.

Astraea and Alex (Ace) have any interesting relationship. He bully’s her in public, but in private there is something else there. That is until one night everything changes and Astraea leaves without a single word. The chemistry between Astraea and Alex is sizzling, their love/hate relationship is addicting. Their history completely sucks you in. It leaves you wanting more of them. It’s not just Astraea and Alex, but the rest of the blue boys (Noah and Emmett) and Kim. Every single character is fantastic. I’m totally loving Noah, even though he is just a secondary character. He is a cocky one, a heartbreaker, but also caring and sweet. They add to the story. They all of a connection of some sort, they are all addicting.

This book is a YA, dark, bully romance with plenty of drama, mystery, suspense and some steaminess. Compared to other books in this genre this one is different. There is so much depth to the story and to the characters. It is full of twists and turns as answers are discovered and more questions come up.

I CANNOT wait for the next book in these series, especially after the crazy ending of this one. I need more of Astraea, Alex, Noah and Emmett in my life!

I was SUPER EXCITED to find out Emily was doing a novella that ties in with her Thorne Hill series, let alone from Lucas’s POV. I have been dying to see his side of things.

Immortal Night and Dead of Night overlap. It is Callie and Lucas’s first meeting all from his POV. This story was short, but it was everything I could have ever hoped for. I loved being inside his head and seeing what he first thought of Callie and everything going through his mind.

This is PERFECT for any of fans of the Thorne Hill series. I hope that we get more of Lucas’s point of view in the future books.

I have been waiting for the conclusion to Harper and Alex’s story since finishing Hard Place and this was NOTHING like I expected. If you haven’t read Hard Place, you NEED to read that first because this picks up pretty much where it left off.

I didn’t think I could love Alex even more than I already did. He is so much more than just a cocky boss. Once his walls start to come down he is super caring, not just for Harper but for her girls. He would do anything for the three of them and he’s proved it so many times.

Harper, I loved her in the first book, but in this one she made me a little crazy. I was yelling at her to make up her mind on what she wanted. Though, I could see where she was coming from but it was frustrating at times.

I wanted to dislike Michael, I did, because I am Team Alex all the way, but he wasn’t a bad guy. Him and Harper had a connection, they shared their daughters, but there was just something missing with their chemistry.

Harper and Alex together were perfect. He was so caring, supporting and loving. He was her lemonade. They had the chemistry and the connection that Harper and Michael were missing.

If you've read the Dawson family you may pick up on a few easter eggs, too.

This book is angsty, it is sweet, steamy and an emotional rollercoaster but completely worth the ride it will take you on.

I LOVED the first book in this series and after what we knew of Julian in that book, I was curious. He was a jerk to say the least. He was the villain in that story, despite being in a coma. I had no idea what to expect with this book and it completely blew me out of the water. I fell in love with this story, these characters and the second chance at love.

Julian is fresh out of a coma and being forced to take a break from his job, especially after the loss of his mother. He takes a break from the city life and heads to his family’s “cabin”, what he doesn’t expect is to find someone else there. Keaton is still mourning over the loss of her boyfriend, but she also needs to write his story. The story she promised him. With a month planned in a cabin this was going to be her time to write, that is until a stranger shows up.

Julian and Keaton started off as enemies, they didn’t like each other much, but as time went on, they formed a connection. They were both broken in different ways, both grieving the loss of loved ones, but also found support in their newly formed relationship. They both helped each other grieve. To overcome the loss and move on.

I loved the connection between Julian and Keaton. I loved learning how their pasts were connected in ways they never even know. These two beautifully broken souls were able to heal each other in ways neither of them thought was possible.

Finding Him is a MUST READ!
