Glad I did the tandem read with Empire of Storm. One star deducted for the wildly overdone "who-dunnit" plot line and a flawless reveal.

Um , so this book was amazing. One star deducted for all the mentions of "male-ness" as well as the Jesus loop hole. I feel it's a bit overdone. Like Harry Potter, Narnia and Throne of Glass? Like can't we find a different way to save the world that's a bit more original?

So glad I read this after Crown of Midnight and not first. Her writing is getting much better as the series progresses.

Took a while to get going, but the last 50 pages were what's getting me to read the next book.

About three too many heists.

But, I was crying by Chapter 40.
