Loved this, and did not see the twist.  Which is always refreshing in a genre, any genre, that can get a bit formulaic.  It has elements of that of course, but not exactly the same. I'm also loving the MCs that are actual grownups 😆

I loved this! I loved the first duet as well, but it was really book 2 that hooked me there.  This one got me from the start. I liked Oraya, the first FMC, but something about Mische was just refreshing from the grumpy, hardened FMCs that tend to exist. Now I languish and wait for even a scrap of info for the next book...
