This story was absolutely heartbreaking and beautiful all at the same time. I truly don't have the right words to say in reviewing this book other than YOU ABSOLUTELY NEED TO READ THIS! if it wasn't for Book Of The Month, I'm not sure when I would have gotten the chance to read this but now I did before it's on the shelves!

Clemantine is such a powerful person, she took me to a place in my heart that I haven't been to in such a long time and to tell her story was so brave and courageous. I have so much love her for, so much pain for her and can only hope that she knows and understands how captivating this story is to so many readers. This story has given me knowledge in understanding things that I hold close to my heart but rarely remind myself of it. To know that it's okay and you are strong, you are powerful and you can do whatever you want in this world and to be your own hero. I thank her for giving me this story to read and opening my heart a little more to what is around me and who I have near me.

I can only say so much about this book until I just tell you everything so I highly encourage you to pick this up on April 24th and go in this story with a big heart and just know that it will be hard at times giving this book is non fiction and you're following a young girl who goes through very raw events that you couldn't imagine. Please read this story, I promise you that you will recommend it to your neighbors right after.

This book is wonderful. It opens up your mind and heart to things you deeply had hidden inside. I’ve been looking for a book with some heartfelt and mindful quotes/phrases to help with my mental health and in the moment of reading this, i felt relieved and that was all i could ask for.

Wow. This book.

I heard all he hype about this book all over social media/booktube and every time I walked into Barnes and Noble I wanted to buy it but I never did. I was on a waitlist to rent the book via audio at my library and the moment i got the email that it was available, i downloaded it and started listening. WOWOWOWW. Am I so glad that i did!! I knew I’d feel these feelings reading the physical copy but there’s just something so captivating about listening to it. I was hooked from the very beginning. I cried at the second chapter. My heart was racing the entire time and with having a heart condition, that’s racing x10! This book had me laughing in moments and crying in moments and it just pulled on my heart strings so much. I had rage inside of me and i had happiness to with how much love their was with the characters. I absolutely recommend this book to everyone.

Oh and I ended up buying the physical copy before finishing and I’m so happy I own it. ❤️

Fucking brilliant. (Excuse my French)

Wow. Can we just sit for a moment and talk about how amazing this was to listen to? I started it yesterday on audiobook and couldn’t stop listening ever since. I have always been into poetry growing up and have watched several YouTube videos of open mic poetry slams and always felt so deep with the person speaking. This book did that exact same thing. The words were so raw and so close to me. I grew up in an Albanian Catholic home so this was very real for me as I experienced the same thoughts and felt like i couldn’t be myself. Mind you, I’m gay and being Albanian, Catholic and Gay does not go well together. For so long i have looked up poems, quotes, and wrote my own words about how i felt and feel so this was exactly what i needed to get me to going back into writing in my journal.

Thank for you this, Elizabeth Acevedo.

My first re-read of the year. My favorite childhood book + movie. ❤️ haven’t read it in a while and yes, the movie was a lot better as i read this now in my late twenties.

Neal Shusterman just has his way of words that keep you wanting to read more and more. I loved Thunderhead. So many different things happening that all come together and it made me want to figure out exactly what would happen after each page turn. I’m so excited for the third book. This was great. 5 Stars for sure.

loveeeeee! i however wasn’t a fan of Leah at first, she reminded me of myself and often times i got annoyed of her but all in all, i absolutely love her! This was so great in so many ways. I love being back in SimonVerse world and getting more into the characters i grew to love. When’s this movie adaption happening? Because i need it NOW! also, i need Leah’s tumblr because fan art for that photo at the end of the book is calling to me! ❤️

| Rating 4. 5⭐️ | I wasn’t so much for the romance because it all happened quickly and expected.

This book was magical in such a twisty way that just captivates you and you end up begging for more! Such a dark tale that brings you into such as atmospheric setting that you just never know what will happen next and trust me, I was mind blown by the twist! Anything with witch vibes, magic and suspense always intrigues me and I’m so glad I picked up this beautiful copy! If you haven’t yet read this, I highly recommend and the author is hosting a giveaway to win a copy of the deluxe covers!✨

Ernshaw’s newest novel is Winterwood & expected to come out Fall of 2019 and I can’t wait to dive into more of her stories! 💕

I was given this book by my therapist and i couldn’t be more grateful. This was a story about a man being in a concentration camp and finding every way to believe in meaning of his life, despite all the suffering he has been through. The few passages that i read are below that made me think deeply about the life I’m living for myself and how i can better it by just finding meaning for it whether it’s through my hardships or happy times.

“Those who have a why to live, can bear with almost any how.”

“When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.”

“But there was no need to be ashamed of tears, for tears bore witness that a man had the greatest courage, the courage to suffer.”

I highly, highly encourage you to pick this up. It’s a quick read that will bring your life a whole new meaning.
