Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC. I have to say, I didn’t love this one. The cover is a bit misleading as I think this book is more about the three women than it is Jemima and Chance. At times, the plot seemed lost and the characters were annoying.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC. I really liked this book and the overall plot being centered around community. The characters are also enjoyable. My only complaint is that the ending felt a bit rushed, but overall, a good read.

I wanted to read this one simply because I just finished a road trip to several NPs in Utah and I thought that was a unique approach to a romance novel. I’ve read every book from this author and there seems to be one common factor with each one...I never see myself in the book. Sarah’s stories are usually fun and light, but they never have much diversity and this continues to be something that I hope she can remedy in an organic way. I’m not sure if the misogyny and sexism are in connection to current social issues, but it did feel like overkill at times. All in all, like her other books, this one made me smile at times and the NP coverage in general is why I gave it this rating.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC. I was pleasantly surprised by this book and really appreciated the way the author handled mental health and relationships in the story. I found myself rooting for Khalil and all of his relationships, but especially the one with Vanessa. It was refreshing to read a novel that got to the heart of what it means for Black women to attempt interracial relationships and how that isn’t always the most pleasant experience when trying to do so. A great read all around. #GettingHisGameBack #NetGalley

Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC. As an English major, former English teaching, and someone who has always been intrigued by the world of publishing, I found this book to be somewhat insightful about what it would mean to work as a woman of color in the overwhelmingly white space. At times, it felt that the job was the sole factor contributing to Nora’s mental health issues, and beyond Parsons, it wasn’t clear who Nora was as a person...but maybe that was the point. I didn’t like how the book positioned the idea that a job would make up someone’s entire identity, but I do see how this could be somewhat helpful to someone struggling to figure it all out. Couple with the slight romantic interactions between her and Andrew, this book was an easy read, however, I do think the ending was a little rushed.

Thank you NetGalley for this ARC. I wanted to like this book from the description, however, I found myself somewhat bored throughout and really pushed myself to finish it. While the premise was intriguing, the storytelling fell flat. At times, there was way too much detail about the hotel in general, and at others, the plot seemed incredibly rushed. I would hardly call this a romantic comedy or a romance at all. It does prove to be a decent story on starting over and finding oneself after tough times.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC. This book started out promising and had me intrigued from the cover and synopsis. Unfortunately, halfway through, I began to lose interest and the plot never picked back up. I think I expected something a tad bit more sinister than what I got, but ultimately, the ended felt both forced and rushed, and I was left unsatisfied in the end.
