This was such a beautiful story about finding yourself and finding someone else to do it with!
Auden’s journey of finding what works for them after coming out as non-binary and Valerie’s journey through grief after her mom’s death, worked through with a love of food! And all the food sounded incredible ✨

Another thing I loved was the sub plot of Auden discovering the terminology and understanding being demisexual was just perfectly described and explained, it was such a lovely journey to watch unfold throughout the book.

While not something I was usually pick up, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this.
Honestly, I don’t even remember how it ended up on my shelves but when I saw that Patty (@turningpagespatty - Instagram) was organising a buddy read (@contentbetweenthecovers - Instagram), I knew it was my time to read it.

This is the perfect book club book in my opinion, it’s so thought provoking and everyone was spotting different things which led to really good conversations.

Truthfully, without the buddy read, I might never have picked it up but I’m so glad I did.

SO beautiful, SO heartwarming but I didn’t expect anything less

I always go into books blind, sometimes that makes things confusing but other times, it makes the story so much better and this was one of those times.

As always, Klune writes some beautiful characters, all of which I want to be friends with. Nate and Art and Alex are just wonderful individually but even better when they’re together.

This was another incredible story of found family and what it means to be human. It will hold a special place in my heart forever.

This book had me mesmerised! An absolute work of art. I loved it so much

The magic system - chefs kiss! I love the idea of pain and pleasure being necessary to increase the quantity and quality of your magic “well”.

The characters - TO DIE FOR.

The ending…. well …. all I can say is I am READY for more and this book isn’t even out yet.

This is going to be one of THE books of 2025, I’m calling it now.
