After reading this book I realize that there is a lot I didn't know about Lily Collins and that her insight regarding things many young women go through is necessary and important. She is someone who has gone through a lot and her experiences show young girls and women that although we may think celebrities are perfect, they are humans too and go through many of the things us "regular" folk do. I knew that already, but many girls and women need to hear it. I love her as an actress, but I appreciate and adore her as the unfiltered person she is and the person she has inspired me to continue to be. Myself.

An enjoyable, magical, twisty ride. I'm curious to see what she does in the second one. Although I enjoyed it, I felt like it needed more circus elements to it like the marketing implied and the character development was lacking in a big way. I also wish we could have seen more of the other competitors and the whole Scarlett seeing colors thing could have been something we learned more about in terms of it having a particular purpose. But, I found it to be a fun read overall.

No one writes like Jeff Zentner. This book broke my heart, made me laugh, and gave me hope all in equal measure.♡

SO. MUCH. FUN.
I love this version of Oz.

Re-reading this book was an absolute delight and a great way to end the year. The illustrations added so much warmth, beauty and charm to the story. This edition is truly magical.

Reading the back stories of the characters was interesting.

This book took me way longer to read than it should have because school is dumb and takes up a lot of my time. Aside from that it was a fun time!

I really love these back stories. They are very interesting and tie everything together quite nicely.♡

Damn you school! If I wasn't in school I would be flying through this series so much faster! I loved it!
