This story was definitely grittier than anything else Colleen has written, but in that way it was refreshing. As with all of her books once I start it I can't stop(willingly) until I am done reading. I know I would have finished it in one day if it wasn't for work lol. I loved it just like every other book she has written!

What a marvelous story! I loved all the characters and the setting! This book really transports you and makes you feel an even deeper appreciation for the natural world! It breaks your heart and heals it again! I loved it!

I don't normally read non-fiction, but this book sounded interesting and it definitely was. I highly recommend this fascinating read!

creepy.

This was my first A.L. Jackson book and I was not dissapointed. Her writing style is very lyrical and beautiful. I loved this love story.♡

This story was not very different from many other ya fantasy books i've read besides the princess falling in love with the princes' sister. The romance was the best part of this book in my opinion and Mare was my favorite character. This was a fluffy read with a good romance, but not an amazing fantasy world. Plus the side characters were basically just the horses. The only side human character I remotely felt a connection with died in the first half. This book could have been amazing, but it was just ok. The world building and character development needed major upgrades.

Marie Lu can do no wrong in my opinion. I binge read her Legend trilogy and it was epic and now I'm binge reading this series and just from this first book I think It's going to be just as epic.

This book made me feel dirty; Tainted by the evil that is Adelina. It is heartbreaking and extremely interesting to read from a villains perspective. I am loving this journey.

It is a truth universally acknowledged that I will ugly cry at the end of a Marie Lu series. This end to Adelina's story was beautiful, heartbreaking, and just magnificent. Lu is still one of my favorite authors. This story was just as epic as the Legend trilogy. Now excuse me as I go cry some more and wallow in all the feels.
