This book is honestly indescribable, but in the best way. It was such a unique story that you really have no choice but to take your time reading it. It is filled with beautiful quotes on so many relevant topics and you can tell the author put a lot of thought into crafting this book. The only negatives were the loose ends not being tied up (I need an epilogue) and I did get lost in some of the explanations for things. If you are looking for a book that is different from all the books you've ever read then read this.

This book broke my heart into a billion pieces. It blows my mind that I had never heard of this tragedy before reading this novel. This is my favorite one that Ruta has written. The main characters and side characters were fantastic (besides the one that was a little shit). I loved this book so much and I will be recommending it to everyone! (it felt very relevant to modern times as well in terms of the Syrian Refugee crisis). ♡♡♡ P.S.- you will cry. And if you don't cry I will assume you have no soul.

I really did not want this story to end. I am so glad there are two more.♡

I liked this a lot, but not as much as the first book.

I recieved this book through my Uppercase subscription box. I just got this last night and I finished it this morning. The world in this book is so rich and vibrant and the characters and creatures are wonderful and terrifying. It starts out action packed from the first page and you won't get off this ride until the last one. I am looking forward to the sequel like a Skin walker looks forward to eating you and your loved ones!

I recieved this book in my Owlcrate subscription box. This book. This book is everything. This book hooked me from page one and I could not stop reading it until I was finished. This book is now one of my new all time favorite books. I loved it. I loved Dill, Lydia and Travis so much. It had me laughing, crying and furiously shaking my head throughout. It is one of the best books I have ever read. I want everyone to read this book. So what are you waiting for? Go forth and experience the masterpiece that is The Serpent King!

Funny and creepy. A delightful book.

I loved the world and the story, but I found it to be a bit slow in the middle. The ending was fantastic though and I am excited to see where the story goes in the next book! :-)
