I received this marvelous book through my Owlcrate subscription box. This was the perfect novel to start 2016 with. My goodness it was wonderful. It made me realize how much I adore historical fiction. The research that was done to craft this story is evident within it's pages! Ginevra de' Benci is now one of my favorite people ever! I would want her to be a part of my squad! This story vividly painted the time period and all of the characters were so beautifully rendered! This book proved Da Vinci wrong about the written word because this novel was a work of art! I can't recommend this highly enough if historical fiction is something you enjoy!

I really loved this book, although it did take me a bit to get into and I found it to be a bit longer than was necessary. If you love fairytales you'll like this!
