This book was so atmospheric. I loved it for it's imaginative world, but it was rather slow and over long. I found myself skimming pages towards the end which tells me it should of wrapped up a lot sooner.
Not many books have freaked me out to the point where I get goosebumps when reading it, but this was one of them!😱 I loved this story! It is the perfect spooky autumn read! I was surprised by how much character development took place in such a short book! I also loved how I didn't see that twist coming! I can't wait to read about more of Simon's adventures! I am so excited for book 2! Also, I would highly suggest getting the paperback because the extra creepy photos you get to enjoy make it definitely worth it! Great job Richard! 👻
I started this book on a whim. I was doing laundry and I was trying to kill some time and I chose to read this because it was a shorter book in my Kindle library. I recently got it for free. What I did not expect was how utterly captivated I became with this story and it's characters. A truly wonderful read about survival, redemption and learning to love again.
This book was everything I wanted, but even more so, it was what I needed. I loved this world and all the characters! And of course I loved the dragons! Now I will be impatiently waiting for the sequel!
Just as wonderful as the first! I have no idea where this series is going to go!
If you've never read a Colleen Hoover book, STOP WHAT YOU'RE DOING AND FUCKING READ A COLLEEN HOOVER BOOK. I've said it before and I shall say it again: She is a goddess of the written word. This story took so many turns I was not expecting and it addressed so many issues that need to be acknowledged in our society. I love Colleen. I love the Voss family. I love this book. If you need me I will be in the corner of my bedroom curled up in a ball of pure emotion.
