This was so cute! Plus the art and the color pallet are just gorgeous. While I felt the story itself could have been fleshed out a little more, this was a quick read that I was pulled into. The characters are lovely and their love is adorable. I would read a whole series about them, honestly.

This was the perfect book to bring with me to the beach this weekend! Wes is in love with his best friend and desperately trying to save the indie bookstore he works at. There's so much in here about bookselling, about friendship, about love. While the pacing felt off to me in the middle, the rest of the book was lovely.

I know everyone loves these books, but I just can't get into the characters. Adrienne Young does write beautiful descriptive passages, though. Absolutely beautiful

Thanks to NetGalley and HMH Books for an advanced copy of this to review! I loved Beneath the Citadel also by Soria, so I was excited to pick this up. Plus, dragons! There aren’t that many YA books with dragons nowadays, and I love reading about them.
To start, the world building in this was fantastic. The way that Soria weaves in the little details of this world of dragons and sorcerers is so effortless. As is the way we’re introduced to Dani and Eden. They each have their distinct personalities, and it comes out in little details throughout the book.
Dani was definitely my favorite of the two sisters, especially the way she forms a relationship with Nox. She’s also bisexual and proud of that; it’s just there and doesn’t really have much bearing on the story itself. Also I’m partial to Nox because that’s the name of my cat--but fits the dragon in the story so well. I would read a whole book about Nox, to be honest.
On the other hand, Eden’s sections were a little difficult to read for me. There was just something about her voice that didn’t read as smoothly as Dani’s did. Her point of view and her character arc is important, as she works through her problems with anxiety, it just wasn’t my favorite.
All in all, this felt like a refreshing fantasy in the YA realm. If you want to read a book about dragons this summer, definitely check this one out!

I honestly thought this was going to the last book in this series until I got to the end of this one. Now I'm sad there aren't more! I need to know what's going to happen next for all of these characters. They deserve a happy ending!

I'm loving this series even more as we get to know the characters more. The stakes have been raised, and something sinister is happening with the visions Cass is having. I need to know what they mean and what it means for Julie and Selena!

Lovely art, lovely characters, and such a magical world! I was hooked from the beginning with this, and know that it's just going to get better from here. Honestly, these might be ones I want to buy to own because I loved them so much! Reminded me a bit of Mooncakes, which I also loved.

This is such a fast paced read, full of twists that make you keep turning the pages. Inserting flashbacks also made Nora even more of a mystery to figure out throughout the book, and I loved the relationships between her and Iris and Wes. They were played out so well.

This newest Miles Morales graphic novel finds Miles looking for the father of one of his new friends. As usual, he's trying to balance everything, family, school, friends, and being Spider-Man. I loved the little nods towards other Marvel superheroes. The writing is great, the art is great, everything about it is great!

The concept behind this is so unique! A boy who gets a liver transplant suddenly gets the ability to travel in time. And falls in love with someone in the past. And in the present. I actually really enjoyed this book. I listened to the audiobook, and the narrator was really engaging. The story was emotional and pulled me in from the beginning. This is actually something that I might read again!
