This is book 18 in the series and deals with the heartbreaking aftermath of the previous book. For that reason, I recommend reading in order, plus it is a fantastic series. I thought it dealt extremely well with the grief and how different people cope and it definitely made me tear up. The crime is based on an extremely creepy urban legend and had me hooked. Even though we know it’s a human being committing the crime the stories about The Woodsman make it scarier. I was not expecting the twist and damn what a twist it was. It was packed full of suspense and the team are as lovable as ever.

This series has me hooked. I highly recommend reading them in order to get to know the characters. Laurel has really grown on me and her relationship with Huck is adorable. They’re both so different but they work so well. Abigail is as terrifying as ever in this book. She adds so much suspense to the story because you never know what she’s going to get up to next. Add that with the return of their father and there’s a lot of drama before you even get to the hunt for a killer.
There’s a lot going on and this fast paced book doesn’t let up for a second. It's a thrilling read packed full of suspense with a touch of romance for balance. I was hooked and read it in two days because I couldn’t put it down. I had no idea who the killer was and the reveal is as dramatic as the other books. As soon as you know who it is everything just slots into place.
I love that we get to know more about Laurel’s team because they are great characters. We also get to learn more about Laurel’s mum and her past. I cannot wait for the next book to see what trouble Abigail causes and if they can finally beat her at her own game.

This is a tough read in places due to the nature of the content but it is written sensitively. The majority of the book is from Nikki’s POV but we get flashbacks to the past from the boys in the care home. I’m still not sure how I feel about Nikki and her team but I would read book 2 in the series to see if they are fleshed out more. The case kept me guessing although the pace was a bit slow in places. I also found the detailed descriptions of Oxford and the university were a bit much and took me out of the story.

This was such a fun read and everything I look for in a romcom. It made me laugh, the romance was cute and there are some deeper moments that hit you in the feels. I adored Maisey. I love a woman who everyone assumes is an airhead but can actually do it all. Juniper was such a great kid and I loved seeing her grow. The dual POV means you can’t help but fall in love with Flint. The gruff grumpy exterior is hiding a soft soul and it’s fun seeing him try to resist his attraction. It’s a slow burn with a lot of chemistry and I was definitely rooting for them. The small town is the perfect setting with so many great characters to add to the story. It’s the kind of place I’d love to live and Earl is the star of the show.

I will always read a book with a plus sized protagonist and Rosie is an amazing character. I really enjoyed seeing her discover how to really live life. She’s a fun character who is smart, sexy, and a lovely person. The small town setting was perfect and there are so many great characters to add to the story, even the judgey old lady. Also, Rosie’s house sounded so damn cute. I feel like they didn’t talk enough about Angus’ saviour complex after the 3rd act conflict. I also hated that he decided she couldn’t be trusted because of an assumption he made. It made me like him a bit less and why I dropped half a star. There are a couple of sex scenes but it’s more about how Rosie feels discovering her sexual side. They were beautifully done and I loved the sexy plus size representation.

This is a cute small town sapphic romance. It has Hallmark movie vibes and is a great cosy autumnal read perfect for this time of year. I love the small town setting and there are so many lovable characters. I will definitely be checking out George’s story when it’s out. I enjoyed the dual POV and I loved both Jenny and Blake’s characters. The way they both embarrassed themselves whilst trying to secretly impress each other made me laugh. I did find some of the canceled influencer storyline a bit cringey but it’s not really the main focus. I also loved that the 3rd act conflict was wrapped up pretty quickly. I wasn’t completely sold on their chemistry but it was still a fun easy read. If you are looking for a low stakes feel good romance definitely check this out.
