I adore this series. The love between the families and friends is beautiful. It shows the ups and downs of friendships and relationships changing. They're such a fun girl gang. The way this book was a love letter to incredible dads made me tear up. The dedication to Lyla's dad at the end tipped me over the edge. Actually, that's a lie I definitely cried earlier at some of the Hank and Teddy scenes. Their relationship is just so beautiful.
This book was everything I hoped for and more. Gus & Teddy are the perfect enemies to lovers. Their acidic banter and love for riling each other up is hilarious. I loved that it was a slower burn of enemies to friends to lovers but they never lost the ability to wind each other up. The perfect level of sweet and spicy. It was fun to finally find out why they fight so much as well. I was also a huge fan of that last bar scene and how Gus accepts Teddy for who she is without it affecting his masculinity.
I wanted to give both Teddy and Gus a massive hug for the pressure they put on themselves but it was so cute seeing them support and fight for each other. Gus taking care of Teddy was swoon worthy.
Riley is obviously the star of the show. She's adorable and so freaking funny.
I can't wait for Dusty & Cam's book but I'll be sad to say bye to Meadowlark.

This is a fun easy beach read. Both Kya and Quinn are lovable and I was rooting for them. The third act breakup isn't overly drawn out and makes sense for the relationship. There are also some great side characters that add to the fun. I'm not sure what but it felt like it was missing something. It is a cute queer romance though.

This is a fun romcom that is a nice easy read. I loved seeing the different personalities of various pupils. I also liked that we got to catch up with Mia and Ed from Sex Ed. There are some great side characters. Jack's nephews are adorable and Zoe's kids are pretty great. Zoe's ex was trash though.
I did find the relationship seemed pretty quick after the breakup and the whole thing felt pretty instalove which isn't my favourite. The 3rd act breakup added some drama and then suddenly the book was over. The ending felt rushed and I wanted more from them and how they overcame the issues. It felt like something was missing.

I love a sapphic sports romance. The basketball element was done really well. There's enough information that you're not lost if you don't know anything about the sport but not too much that it takes over. I adored the team and the sisterhood. I'm so glad this is the start of a series because there are so many lovable women on the team and I can't wait to see their stories.
The chemistry between Khadijah and Shae was sizzling. The flirting and tension were done perfectly along with the balance of sweet and spicy. They were pretty damn cute together. The book starts with pretty instant spice. Then we get to see them try and resist their attraction while at work which builds the tension beautifully.
I did struggle a bit with Dijah and her list. She didn't seem to fully understand that compromise is a two way thing. Some of her actions were frustrating. However I love Shae, she seemed like such a great person. Both of their families were pretty lovable as well. The conflict worked well with the story and both of their personalities, and added to their relationship. I will definitely be keeping an eye out for more from Meka James.

This is the second book in the Silver Pines series and my favourite one so far. I adore the Ashby family. They seem so fun and they love hard. Their family dinners seem like a scream and I want to be a part of that girl gang. I cannot wait for Ginger and Cole's book. Ginger is just hilarious.
This is the perfect small town cowboy romance. I loved Ivy's sass and how she wound Wade up. Their banter was entertaining and definitely made me laugh. The grumpy cowboy having movie and ice cream sundae nights was too sweet. However, the spice is amped up even more from book one, but I found it didn't overtake the plot as much.
It does cover deeper topics though and makes you feel all the emotions and I'm pretty sure I shed a tear. I just wanted to give Ivy a massive hug and I loved seeing her make friends just as much as falling in love. Wade taking care of her was swoon worthy. They are just too cute together. The found family made my heart happy.
If you're a Elsie Silver and Lyla Sage fan then I highly recommend this series.

This is book 9 in the Dr Harrison Lane. I have read and loved books 1 & 2 and I will be going back for the rest asap. I didn't feel like I was missing any vital information from not reading all of the books.
I really enjoy the ritualistic behavioral element of the crime solving. Harrison is an intriguing character although I struggled with his lack of communication with his girlfriend. The murder and investigation throws up plenty of suspects although I did guess who was responsible. The village definitely gives off Hot Fuzz vibes.
My only issue was the ending was so abrupt. It felt like there were pages missing. I look forward to going back to learn more about Harrison and is past and I will be keeping an eye out for future additions to this series.

I was going to DNF after the first chapter but all the reviews said that it got better and Blake got less cringey. They lied and I really wish I hadn't persevered.
The dialogue is so cringey and Blake speaks like a teenage boy. The words Cheezus, samesies, J Babe, Blakes snake, and make riley smiley are repeated constantly.
As for the plot, nothing really happens and then it ends abruptly. I still wasn't convinced Jess had found her thing that she was passionate about. I didn't feel much chemistry between them either.
It's such a shame because I normally love Elle Kennedy's books.

This is book 2 in the Naked Moose series and it helps to have read book one because you'll be missing some back information. I love a small town romance but I felt like this was missing something. There are some incredible side characters (especially Betty) and the friendships are beautiful. It was nice to see the guys talking about their feelings and helping each other as well.
I loved both Eli and Willow, they had great chemistry and were cute together. I think it needed a bit more emotional depth. It covers some deeper topics including loss, grief, and domestic violence but everything is resolved pretty quickly. It is a sweet holiday read though. The scene setting is done well and I loved the cosy Christmas vibes.
