Second chance romance isn't my first choice but when it's done well it's worth it and this is a fantastic second chance romance. I loved that both characters were pretty mature and there wasn't much negativity. The angst is perfect and the character growth had me rooting for them. It's an emotional rollercoaster, it made me laugh (the bear) and cry. It's sweet, spicy, and heartbreaking in places.
The handling of the loss of a parent was beautifully done and I think the scenes with Laura Lee were some of my favourites.
The chemistry and tension between Aurora and Wyatt was incredible but they were also so sweet together. Wyatt is a dream book boyfriend. I mean the house, I wouldve married him on the spot.
There are some great side characters. Lexi really grew on me and I look forward to seeing more of her. Duke was definitely a favourite as well. Highly recommend and I look forward to returning to Smoky Heights.

Another great addition to the series. I can't believe we're on book 13 already. As usual, this book is packed full of twists and turns to keep you on the edge of your seat. I was anxious to see what trouble would find Morgan this time. I was kept guessing the whole way and the ending was as dramatic as ever.
My only gripe is I would love to see more of them working as a team. It sometimes feels like Morgan is the only one who can solve a crime and always seems to end up in danger. The team is so lovable. Cain & Amy have such a great friendship and their banter is hilarious. They always provide some much needed laughter. I look forward to seeing Amy cope with her situation.

I loved the queer and plus size representation in this book and it was a cute read. It just wasn't my favourite read.
Diana was a bit irritating. She came across as immature and self centered. She was judgemental and could be quite mean. I also struggled with the constant mention of food and how hangry she was. It just felt a bit insulting with the fat character being obsessed with food.
Drew was lovable and the dream boyfriend. He could talk about his feelings, was honest and supportive. His mum was probably the star of the show though. There are so many fantastic side characters. I actually preferred most of the side characters to Diana. I wanted to know more of their stories, especially what the deal was with Simon and Chris.
It did feel like a big chunk of the book was a lecture. It covers a lot of important topics on privilege and discrimination towards POC and the queer and plus size communities. It just took me out of the story and disrupted the pace.

This is the second book in the Red Sky Ranch series but it can be read as a standalone. I definitely preferred book 1 but this was still a cute read.
I just felt like neither character was developed enough. Riley and Olivia are the definition of opposites attract and they make an adorable couple with great chemistry. What a first kiss. They both have their issues and help each other deal with them. It just felt like it was missing something.
The scene setting is beautifully done. I enjoyed seeing Elizabeth & Kelsey again and seeing how Red Sky Ranch has expanded. They are such a great friendship group.
It's a cute sapphic romance with a hint of spice.

I love the Bright Falls series so I was excited to get stuck into this. Unfortunately, it fell a bit flat. It is a cute festive read with the perfect cutesy christmassy small town setting. The scene setting was beautifully done.
My main issue with the book was Charlotte. I hated her and it made rooting for the couple difficult. She was self absorbed and a terrible friend. Sloane deserved so much better. All of that would be fine if she learnt from her mistakes but she didn't show any growth. Even at the end when she's apologising to Sloane she still doesn't ask how she's doing and makes it about her. I was actually more interested in the side characters. They seemed like a lot of fun. I loved Bright though and she showed so much growth, she deserved better.
