A contemporary Cinderella retelling featuring a plus size leading lady set amidst a Bachelor-esque tv show!
I love a good retelling and

A psychological thriller about a true crime obsessed family harboring their own deadly secrets!
The premise of this book held so much promise for me. A true crime obsessed family living in a secluded mansion - yes please! A body discovered as they prepare to lay their loved one to rest - count me in! Siblings with weird relationships and an even weirder upbringing - what's not to love! Yet despite all this, I found this one a bit underwhelming. I can probably attribute it to the fact that this unfortunately held no surprises for me.
The premise is intriguing but once the novelty wore off, I found myself growing bored. The story definitely stalled in the middle and I found myself waiting for something to happen. Unfortunately, the ending felt anticlimactic and I simply wanted more. I figured out both mysteries, early on, which took away from the twists for me. I was hoping for a more explosive ending or for the author to really delve into some family weirdness.
I honestly think this would have been more powerful if told in a dual timeline. We are told about the past which almost made it feel less eventful for me. It would have been so much more satisfying to have the events unfold as we follow along. I wanted to love this more than I did, but sadly it was just an ok read for me.

A stand-alone romantic suspense about family, friendship and love set in a small town.
4.5⭐️ A heartfelt, angsty slow-burn romance about finding love understanding and companionship in a marriage of convenience
Chloe Liese does it again! I adore the Bergman series and this one has shot straight to the top as my new fave! Rooney and Axel were entertaining, genuine, sweet, sexy and full of banter and angst. This book gave me so many feels and all of them were good. It was like a great big hug to my heart.
I love how unconventional Chloe’s characters are. She sheds light on underrepresented characters with sensitivity and acceptance. It’s not about standing out, it’s about showing that everyone deserves love and that medical issues, chronic illness and mental health issues aren’t abnormal.
I had the unique pleasure of reading this series with the fab ladies of @lovearctually and we chatted with Chloe about books, life and love. Wow! This was by far the most emotional book club/author chat I have ever experienced. It was amazing. Chloe was so open and honest and it just made me love her and this series even more.
If you haven’t read this series - what the heck are you waiting for? Do it! So excited I got my finished copy now to add to my collection.

2.5 Six friends, three couples, a stay at a cliff side villa in Portugal and a weekend of wedding festivities. Amidst all the partying is a tangled web of lies, deceit and suspicious minds.
Ok, I'm just going to put it out there = this book was not for me. It felt slow. I was on edge, waiting, wanting, desperately pleading with the book gods, for something good to happen. Given, there was a lot of suspicion, secrets, lies and sneaking around on the part of many of the characters. But this was just one of those books where I honestly did not like a single character. I'm ok with that when it's the kind of characters you love to hate, this was simply not that for me. I hated them all. Period.
In all honestly, had this not been on audio, I probably would not have finished it. I didn't really care one way or the other what was really going on, who was lying to who and who did what with whomever. Plus, I was sure I knew exactly what was going on & surprise - I was right. So, no surprise - which is way underwhelming when you have to wait till almost the bitter end for something to actually happen.
I don't generally rate books too low but this one just really did not work for me. I almost didn't post this review because I don't want to sound whiny or negative but I strive to be honest and open here. That means, being transparent when I don't love a book. In the end, this is simply my opinion. The great thing about books and reading is that it's 100% a personal and subjective experience. You might love this one. I hope some of you do. Sadly, it just wasn't for me.
