A horror novel that pays homage to slasher films!⁣

I love reading horror and watching horror films (

Written in alternating POVs, this story kept me turning the pages throughout. The descriptions and the caves are so intriguing. The last 20% or so left me shocked at the twists & turns! A great read!

Samantha Downing gets an A+ from me for this dark, twisted and absolutely wicked thriller!

Something BIG is going on within the walls of Belmont Academy. People are dying and Teacher of the Year Teddy Crutcher can't be bothered with nonsense. After all, as Teacher of the Year, he's focused on doing what needs to be done for his students and no cost is too high. After all, it's for their own good.

In For Your Own Good, Downing takes one of my fave thriller settings, a prestigious private school, and turns its world upside down in the most diabolical and entertaining way. Needless to say, I loved it! There are so many characters you will love to hate but I have to say that I loved Zach through it all.

What I loved most about this book was that it was almost like an onion. As each character's layers begin to be stripped away, we see that all is not what it seems. Downing takes the saying that "there is some good in the worst of us and some evil in the best of us" and nurtures it in her characters.

For Your Own Good is masterfully plotted with deceitful, unscrupulous characters that are all engaged in duplicity and one despicable wrongdoing after another. Easily one of my fave thrillers of the year and one I highly recommend!

Another fun addition to the Bromance Book Club series!

Vlad, a.k.a The Russian, is such an endearing character and quite the unconventional romance hero. His sensitive, emotional nature, innocence and lack of romantic experience are in stark contrast to the persona you'd expect from a giant, star hockey player and a leading man in a romance. It's doubly refreshing because many of these characteristics are usually allotted to female characters so I love how Lyssa Kay Adams chose to explore them from the male perspective in Vlad. It totally worked for me. I was rooting for Vlad to find love and happiness all the way.

There was a lot here that I really enjoyed: the cameos by the rest of the members of the Bromance Book Club, the Cheese Man (if you know, you know!) and even the added mystery and intrigue with Elena's backstory. However this doesn't get 5 stars from me because I felt Elena's story wasn't fully fleshed out or concluded. Frankly, I was left worried for their safety - anyone else? That definitely impacted my HEA feeling.

I'm a huge fan of this series and these men and their relationships. Bring on book #5! Maybe Colton will finally settle down and get his HEA?!

I love a good second chance love story and this one was both fun and heartwarming with it's hate to love angle. There's just something about watching a couple who has lost their way, find love with each other again. Full of fun pranks & hijinks, swoon worthy angst and real emotion, You Deserve Each Other delivers the very best of both tropes.

Mixed in with all the pranks and hilarious jabs at each other, is love. I loved watching their relationship evolve when they got to the point where they felt they had nothing else to lose and realize that if they lose each other they will actually lose everything. Nicholas was swoon-worthy. He was intent on making Naomi fall in love with him again and I adored how dedicated he was to their relationship.

A fun binge-worthy read with a satisfying HEA!

This novel is a shot straight to the heart! It’s action packed, gritty, dark, violent & full of palpable emotion!⁣

Wow, just
