3.5 Stars (roundup) - A slow burn whodunnit in the tradition of Agatha Christie.⁣

This was my first Lucy Foley book and while I enjoyed it, it definitely moved a bit slow for me. The setting, being stuck on an isolated estate in the Scottish Highlands during a massive snow storm was great. It added to the sense of foreboding and desperation which I really enjoyed. ⁣

The Alaskan Wild, Calla & Jonah, the holidays and their family coming to visit. This was such a perfect little visit back into their world. I didn’t want it to end! ⁣

All I will say about this one is that it was the perfect way to kick off my holiday reads and it left me smiling. I love this series and these characters so much and can gush that KA Tucker does not disappoint us with this novella. Read it, get lost in the Alaskan Wild for a bit, smile and feel happy. I read this in one contented sitting by the light of my Christmas tree. ⁣

Mira just wants to make it home to her mother for the holidays. Little does she know when accepting a ride with 4 total strangers in the midst of a blizzard that one of them is a sociopath with a deadly obsession. Can she uncover the truth before the road trip turns fatal? ⁣

This is a YA locked room type mystery taking place in a car during a blizzard. It was a binge worthy read that had me second guessing all the inhabitants of the car and mentally spinning all types of theories. ⁣

While I felt annoyed with some of the characters and their choices, I also found myself wanting to scream at Mira because I sensed danger at every turn. I was completely addicted to the story and engrossed in all the danger and mishaps along the way. The suspense builds throughout the story and though it wasn’t without a few plot holes, this one made me jump, shout OMG a few times and kept me on the edge of my seat. So, I’m rating it based on all the feels it gave me bc it was a perfect snowy mystery for this time of year and I thoroughly enjoyed getting lost in it. ⁣

A holiday themed Groundhog’s Day story with a HEA. ⁣

In a Holiday is definitely a fun, feel good, holiday binge read! I enjoyed the premise but felt left with too many unanswered questions. Many people are loving this one and while I definitely enjoyed it, I didn't love it as much I have previous books because the storyline felt unresolved to me. ⁣3.5 stars
