This was a good YA mystery, it just wasn’t anything that stood out for me. I’m a sucker for high school cliques, secret societies and murder so I had high hopes for this one. While it was full of drama, secrets and betrayal I guessed where it was all headed early on which proved to be a bit of a letdown for me.

Elin Hilderbrand does family drama like no other. I love the complicated dynamics in the relationships. There are no easy roads here and the waters are definitely murky. But this is why I get so sucked in by her books and this series is one that I’m definitely hooked on after this first book -
