I went into this book fairly confident that I would like it, but I really struggled to connect. The writing is beautiful, and I enjoy the love story, but I guess I thought it would be more than just a love story. I didn't get much else in terms of character development, or plot. It's possible that if I had kept reading I would have found a bit more of what I was looking for, but I wasn't feeling the pull to continue.

3.5 stars It was predictable and cheesy, but I enjoyed it all the same. And I cried - multiple times.
