I loved this!
Picked it up because it's recommended by 방탄소년단 ARMY as similar to BTS universe concepts - I have no idea if it was an influence in their world or mv's or webtoon but it totally could be if you're just looking at similarities and vibes.
It's well written and I liked all of the narrators. With some books that include multiple perspectives/timelines the narrator switches annoy me but this audiobook is very well directed and cast. I listened to it during the tail end of my long day hike today and it fully distracted me from my sore feet. I was interested the whole time and I loved the ending. It was perfect.

This book was super weird and not really what I expected. It wasn't necessarily bad but it was also not the kind of book I personally love. I thought it would be more scary but it was mostly just bizarre. The feminist themes would be extremist at times and then suddenly not at all. I did like it at the beginning and then got bored pretty quickly because nothing was happening. When she
brutally gutted her cat with her toddler as a witness
I got more into it again LOL but then after that it just got weird. It didn't feel like there was a real theme or meaning and her artistic show thing felt like it would have been interesting to watch but def not to listen to it being described.

Ray Bradbury should not have tried to narrate his book.
It sounds like he has no teeth and just ran 3 miles.
I cannot listen to this 😅 I'll try to get another edition with a different narrator.

Definitely a classic that holds up. I can see why it was so famous and I, like many others, find it extremely applicable and unnerving still today. It's one of those books that isn't really fun to read but is interesting, thought provoking, and frightening. I would support this being required reading in high schools over some of the classics that I read for school discussion. It's extremely important to think about the themes in this book. While there is some torture and trigger-y stuff it also doesn't really get too gross so I think it would be appropriate for teens.
I like the way Orwell writes and I liked this narrator. I'm not quite rating it 5☆ because it got pretty slow in the middle and some of it seemed kind of too fantastic without connection to the theme. But it's so great as a whole and I'd recommend to read if you haven't.

I loved this book. I read it because it's recommended by 방탄소년단 members. This book is easy to follow but its a lot to unpack as you go, so I listened to it slightly slower than I normally consume audiobooks. (Still in one sitting but at 2x instead of 2.5 or 3) It's very well translated and narrated.
The only thing that keeps it from getting 5☆ is that I dont love the ending. It felt kind of off and too sweet after everything.
Would definitely recommend.
