Ah the "Book of Jobs" as I fondly referred to this heavy tome as I lugged it around for well over a month (all the while thinking I wish I bought this for my Kindle). It took me longer then usual to get through this dense read (so much detail and names) but I'm so glad I took my time immersing myself in the deconstruction of Mr. Jobs. Walter Isaacson did a brilliant job weaving together interviews, stories, and facts gathered over many years. While I came to dislike Steve Jobs immensley as a person, the book still made me respect him as my generation's greatest innovator. Glad I didn't work for the man, but glad so many others did.

My favorite tidbits included finding out Steve Jobs was that he was born in Green Bay, WI and his thoughts on death (see the final chapter and his view on power switches).

Another fast-paced (and scary) read from Miss Clare. I actually listened to the audiobook version of this for the majority of the chapters, which I also highly recommend. The female reader did a excellent job distinguishing between the voices of the different characters, both male and female, and kept me on the edge of my car seat.

When I mention scary, this book kind of freaked me out. Clare did a great job describing the different hordes of demons that challenged and often hurt the characters. Don't think I will be going swimming anytime soon!

I also thoroughly enjoyed the various romantic tangles, including the relationships between Clary and Simon, Clary and Jace, and even a relationship between two male characters. Pretty ballsy for a YA author. The book had enough romance without being inappropriate for teens but kept my adult interest too.

And what a cliff hanger! Ack. Hurry up and deliver my next book library!

Finished the third book in Clare's series in about a day a I could not put it down. She really knows how to keep her audience engaged in the action and plot development; battle scenes are just descriptive (and long enough) to get your pulse going. As I have found with her other titles, this book is "YA" (in quotes). I'm not a teenager but I was scared of the demons and found enough sexiness to keep me interested (without being innappropriate for teens).

You can defnitely tell she orignially meant for this series to be a trilogy, as there was a very satisfying and neatly tied up ending. I'm still look forward to continuing on with the other two books she did end up writing. I wonder how many movies they will make...
