DNF, fantasy is not for me

I did not expect this to be good but I am still disappointed! I thought this was gonna be fun to read but it was 400 pages of Bella describing what Edward's face looked like at any given moment, I was so incredibly bored

Quite possibly my least favorite book of all time. The main issue stems from the fact that Kathryn Stockett is a white woman with seemingly no grasp on racial issues in the U.S. I think this book could have been a lot better if 1. The author did not repeatedly set aside the maids' stories to learn more about Celia's life (why is she the main character???) 2. The 'Southern Accent' written into the dialogue was gone, and 3. Someone who knows what they're talking about wrote the story.
