SO incredibly important. It should be required reading for anyone concerned about the ongoing occupation of Palestine. It is also essential to have the historical context of the IOF and their treatment of palestine (as well as the global response) to be able to parse through and uncover propaganda and biased coverage from supposedly neutral or progressive organizations like the ADL, Amnesty International, UN, etc.

It just gets better and better with every reread. I am spiraling back into LOTR obsession

Some of my fave poems from the collection: little beast, boot theory, litany in which certain things are crossed out, snow and dirty rain

Oof to the casual antisemitism. Although, not really surprising for the middle ages. My favorite tales were the Wife of Bath. RIP wife of bath, you would've loved dating apps. I also found the Clerk's tale very engaging (but depressing). Griselda....DUMP HIS ASS

The Grapes of Wrath

John Steinbeck

I found this engaging and sweet. The pacing was a bit off at times, and I found that some of the direct quotes from P & P annoying/pulled me out of the story between Mary and Tom

Super interesting! I feel like I have heard whispers about this cult but never looked deeply into it. Fascinating read and deeply troubling.

Such an amazing novel.

Maybe I'm just cynical but I find these types of romances to be very hard to get invested in.
